Ling Bing had awoken with a few wet spots on his face, and he woke in his beloved Hong ge's warm embrace that had warmed up his skin more than all the expensive animal fur blankets combined with tears that had fallen on his face.
He then gently apologized "I am sorry your majesty for seeing me in such a disgraceful manner."
"I do not care, looks in time will fade but my affection for you will never die." The Emperor replied, blowing and rubbing in an attempt to warm his beloved's hands. He thought to himself, his wrist has become thinner and his hands cold and brittle as Hong Er had said and reprimanded himself that why no matter how much he gazed at his beloved at night he never noticed the difference.
"I want to confess..." Bing Bing had begun with a cough.
"Shhhh...I know...about Han Ling. It isn't your fault, I have a confession to make too...I raped your sister and Harmony's death...Was my fault. I'm sorry I didn't pay any attention to you, and you fell so ill...I couldn't think straight...I fell in love with you...I would die if you left me." Bing Bing's eyes grew large and but then softened... "It's fine, we are now equal. No one owes the other anything. Hong Yan...No matter what I will love you."
Hong Yan than pouted and said lovingly "Then never leave me."
Linh Bing chuckled and then leaned into Hong Yan's chest and whispered willfully "Why would I ever want to again? This time was so painful! I'll be like a parasite, even if you want me to leave I won't! When I die I will haunt you Hong Yan!" He said with a pinky promise and said "Pinky promise, a hundred years can't change, if I break it I will become a dog.*"
