  KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK!!!

"Hi! Oh my gosh, thank you for coming on such short notice! My goodness, your dress is positively gorgeous! Please,  come in both of you." Chanel said.

I looked down at the dress Ms. Brenda let me borrow. It was her late daughters, so she gave me the rest of her wardrobe aswell. She gave Conner her sons old suit to, along with some other t-shirts and slacks that he no longer could fit into. He was only 2 years older than Conner, but he had a good 40-60 pounds on him. I would have spent some of the money I had saved over the years, but he would always disagree and say he was fine.

All of the year's he spent out on the streets made him grow up way to fast. I have always hated myself for letting it happen.

"Hi! Oh thank you for coming on such short notice, won't you come in?" the lady said. " I'm Chanel."

"Scarlet." I replied. I held Conner's hand and walked in. I was instantly overwhelmed. A beautiful chandelier hung from the ceiling, and a marble staircase led to the second floor. Chanel disappered down a hallway, and a little girl came out from what I assumed to be the basement.

"Hello. Im Lily. What's your name?" she asked.

" I'm Conner." Conner said. "I like your braides."

"Thank you. I like your suit." Lily replied. "Do you want to come play with me?"

"Sure!" he said. He looked up at me with pleading eyes. I studied him for a while. The two kids were completely different. Lily had blonde hair, and pale skin. So pale, I thought she might sun burn in florescent lighting. She had sea blue eyes. Gorgeous eyes. She was kind of puggy, but not fat. She looked like she had never been hungry. Conner on the other hand, was skinny. With dark hair, tan skin, and gray eyes, he resembled me entirely.

"I'm sorry, I had to change really fast. I have a meeting with a director in 20 minutes." she said. She was balancing a tray of cheese and crackers on one hand, and a wallet in the other. "Here you go kids, eat up."

I looked longingly at the cheese,  not having such a delicacy in years. Conner looked at me for approval, and I nodded my head in reply.

"Come on.... I'm sorry, what was your name again?" Chanel asked.

  "Scarlet."

"Oh yes. Come on Scarlet, let's go to my office, and we can start the interveiw." she said.

I followed her down a hallway and through a massive sitting room. She opened a set of french doors, and ushered me into the room. It had a huge mahogany desk, bookshelves, windows, and a bear skin rug. I had never seen so many expensive things like this in one place in my life.

" So, take a seat. Is lobster ok for lunch?" she asked me.

" Of course." I said. I can't believe this is real. I'm eating lobster, and don't have to pay a dime!

"Oh, which do you perfer? White or red wine?" she asked.

  "Red. Thank you."

"Alrighty! Now, while we wait for our food, let's start shall we?"
