"Well, thank you for coming! I will get back to you in about a day or so. I hope you enjoyed lunch, and thanks at again for playing with Lily, Conner!" Chanel said.
"Your welcome. Thank you so much for letting me come in. I really do appreciate it." I replied.
"Bye Conner!" Lily said. "See you later."
"Bye Lily!" Conner said. He took hold of my hand and we walked out.
When we got outside, we just stood there looking at each other. Then, without words, we decided to go to the tent.
"How did you like their house buddy?" I asked Conner.
"I LOVED it! I had so much fun. I have never had cheese before. I hope you get that job, Scarlet. It would be fun to play with Lily more." he replied.
"Whoa! Slow down buddy, one sentence at a time, I could hardly understand you!" I said.
"Sorry, I just had such a good time!" he said.
I smiled. He had never been this excited about anything. Dear God. If your listening, I just want you to know that if you give Chanel the incentive to hire me, I'll never ask you for anything again.
"Boy, I'm exhausted. Let's get you into those fuzzy pjs Ms Brenda gave you, and let's go take a nap. K?" I said.
"Ok. We are really lucky we have such wonderful people in our life huh?" he said.
"Yeah... We are aren't we?"
