Amethyst woke up the next... Uh, morning? And blinked. She sat up in the king size bed that her and her sister's shared and stretched.
She felt a lot better today then she did yeaturday and she had to admit it had to do something with sleeping on a nice, soft, comfortable bed.
Sky who had slept next to her turned over in her sleep and wrapped her arm around her waist.
Cerelia was curled up with Vanora laying on her legs while Roux had her whole body covered with the blanket.
Oh, how she wished they were living a different life. In a different world that was filled with laughter and sunlight not dread and darkness.
She wanted her sister's to be happy, joyful, young woman who didn't have to worry about trying to be killed by freaky looking demons.
Amethyst slowly untangled herself from Sky and quietly slid out of bed.
Vanora raised her head. Where are you going?
"Bathroom."
Ok, hurry back.
Amethyst nodded. Vanora fell back to sleep as she slipped out of the room.
Liam was sitting on the roof scaning the tree's when all of a sudden another wave of dizziness hit him.
He shut his eye's as he felt his fangs sharpen and he heard the heartbeat of everyone inside the house. He tried to take deep breaths but when that didn't work he tried holding his breath.
Nothing.
A moan escaped his mouth when he heard that one heartbeat stand out again it's steady beat seemed to be much louder this time. It was strong and calming but instead of easing his thirst like the first time around this time it seemed to make it worst.
He cursed when he felt his feet hit the ground. He followed the heartbeat upstairs and when he finally made it to the second floor the heartbeat quieted.
The restroom door opened and out came Amethyst. He watched as she quietly shut the door behind her and turn to head back to her room.
Suddenly he was behind. He gently grabbed her wrist and turned her toward him.
He was surprised when she didn't scream. "Liam, is everything ok?" She asked.
Her soft spoken question snapped him back to reality and he realized the reason why she didn't get scared was because she trusted him. Not only him but all of them.
He backed up. "No, uh. I was just seeing if you were ok?"
"Yes." She nodded.
"Good."
It feel silent between the two of them before she finally asked of she could go back to sleep.
He nodded.
"Good night." She said as she opened the door to her room.
"Yeah."
He turned to go back outside but stopped when he saw Taron standing behind him.
I was gonna fight if it came to that.
Liam nodded. "Thanks."
I also know of a place were a couple of bad people make there camp at.
Liam stopped and looked at the earth element. "You know what I am?"
I do.
"Then show me."
Taron nodded.
He knocked on the door closest to him and within seconds Boldir answered.
Without saying a word Boldir went outside and took a spot in the middle of the roof.
Liam and Taron jumped the fence and headed in the direction of a few bad men.
After an hour and a half had passed with them continually running Taron had finally slowed down.
Now, all you have to do is follow your nose.
Liam smiled.
As he made his way closer to the camp he smelled what seemed to be a group of eight guys. The group smelled of alcohol, dirt, and blood?
Yeah they were definitely bad.
He smirked, good now he wasnt gonna feel bad for what he was about to do.
Liam came apon the camp to find all the men asleep. He crouched down next to the nearest man who didn't smell any good but he had to so Liam pulled him up by his collar.
The man didn't seem to notice that he was dangling half way off his sleeping bag because he grumbled one them feel back to sleep.
Liam felt his teeth sharpen as he pulled the mans arm up to expose his wrist. Liam tried to block out the smell as he pierced the man. The man flinched but stayed asleep after a few minutes Liam started feeling the man body grow cold and his belly full bit he didn't stop until the last of the mans blood hit Liam's tongue.
Liam stood up feeling nice and satisfied as he stopped the dead body at his feet. He looked at the seven remaining men and decided to keep them for later instead of over feeding now.
He headed back in the direction that he came from. Taron didn't say anything when he saw him just got up and started walking side by side back to the cabin.
Better.
"Much, thank you."
As they walked in silence Liam thought about what had happened earlier with Amethyst. Why was we reacting toward her like this?
We've only known each other for a week.
He knew he was forgetting something important but for the life of him he couldn't remember. But it kept on naggng him even when he saw the cabin in sight.
He noticed the figure sitting down on the roof nearly invincible.
Liam jumped over the fence but he lost his footing so he slipped and cut his hand on the barbed wire.
"You alrighty."
"Yeah."
Liam looked down at the blood pooling in his palm and all of a sudden he remembered.
He had TOUCHED Amethyst.
And he didn't get burned.
Why?
He knew he had to be certain.
Tomorrow he was gonna touch her again.
He smiled.
