Patrick's POV
Another month passed and it was finally our date at the fair. Amethyst got dressed and ready. We went to the fair and got wrist bands. "Okay," I sighed. We got on the ferris wheel after I won her a stuffed panda. "So, Miss FBI Agent, how'd you manage that job?"
"Practice and hardwork," Amethyst smiled. "That case a month ago, I still think about it." I looked at her. "I don't know. I guess because of all the choices I made, this case, I just made one bad one." She looked at me. "Never have I ever chosen a safer life over one that was seriously in danger. I should've saved her first. She was only sixteen years old." I sighed. "Her little brother is going to grow up without a sister."
"You're thinking about it too much," I replied.
"I always do that," Amethyst sighed. After the ride we found a table to sit at. I took off my jacket and put it in the chair across from her. "I need something to eat."
"I'll be right back," I nodded. "I'll be in this line right here."
"Okay," Amethyst smiled. I got in line. "Water to drink, please." A guy tried to grab the chair I had my jacket in. "Excuse me, sir. Someone's using that chair."
"Whatever," said the guy.
"Excuse me," Amethyst stood up. "There's a jacket indicating that someone is sitting in that chair."
"I don't see someone sitting here," the guy replied as he got his hand off the chair. "You move, you lose your seat."
"Amethyst, let it go," I sighed. "We can find another seat."
"We were here first," Amethyst responded.
"Maybe you shouldn't let your girl do your fighting for you," the guy replied. "And maybe you should listen to your boyfriend and find a different place to sit."
"No, we're not going anywhere," Amethyst replied. Three other guys stood up and stood behind the guy. "I'm seriously not going anywhere."
"You guys should go find a different place to eat and sit," the guy replied. "It's four against one, since I highly doubt you're going to do your own fighting."
"Come on, Amethyst," I replied. "Let's just go."
"No," Amethyst nodded. "He's being rude and he doesn't know who he's dealing with." I looked at Amethyst. "You might want to back up a little bit, Pat." I did as I was told. "Take your first swing."
"You asked for it," the guy nodded.
"Take it," Amethyst sighed. The guy did but Amethyst nodded. She took on all four guys and they were all on the floor within three minutes. "You asked for it."
"Are you allowed to do that?" I asked as I put my arm around her.
"They took the first swing," Amethyst shrugged. "I could put them in jail but I think I'll let them walk away with their dignity."
"They're four guys they got beat by a girl," I replied. "You really think they got any dignity left?"
"Maybe," Amethyst shrugged. "I do have a better advantage being a special agent."
"Special ed," the guy got back on his feet.
Amethyst turned to face him. "Take another swing at me, I'll cuff you and drag you down to the station myself," she nodded. He crossed his arms. "Oh, you don't believe me?" She got out her badge and showed it to him. "I'll think twice before messing with me."
"You're a fed?" he asked. "Hell nah, man."
"Let's go, Pat," Amethyst replied. We went to my car and got inside. "Okay. Let's go back to my place."
"Okay," I sighed. I drove her back to her house and we walked inside. Tony was in a suit without the sports coat. "Look at that."
"Nah man," Tony nodded.
"Where are you going?" Amethyst asked.
"A wedding," Tony sighed. "I can't seem to tie this tie."
"Come here," Amethyst smiled. She tied his tie for him. "One of these days, I won't be here to do this for you."
"I know," Tony sighed. "You gotta run off to get your full training one day."
"One day," Amethyst smiled. "Now, go before you're late."
"Right," Tony nodded as he grabbed his keys and left.
"Something you wanna tell me?" I asked.
"I received a call from the director," Amethyst sighed. "They cut my role."
"So?" I asked.
"Uncle Tony wants me to tell the FBI that the plans are in order," she sighed as she sat on the couch. "I'm to go to the Bureau as soon as I can."
"And that is?" I asked.
"Whenever I can. Possibly by June of next year. Unless Uncle Tony changes his mind which will most likely happen."
"What about us?"
"I can't have anything holding me back here," Amethyst nodded. "I'm sorry. It's just I have to have my career set in place. Right now, I'm just a call to agent if they need my help." I looked at her. "I have to do it every single day and I have to do that now. Patrick, you can either follow and support me through this or leave because the door's right there."
"Amethyst, I'm not leaving you," I sat down next to her and held her hand. "I'll be here to support you through anything you need."
"Okay," Amethyst nodded. We talked for hours. "I'll tell you what, tomorrow, we should just have a movie night, okay?"
"That sounds good," I smiled. "Can I choose the movie?"
"Yeah, you can go and get it tomorrow morning that way we can get started after I get done in the morning," Amethyst smiled. "Sounds like a plan?"
"Sounds good," I smiled. "I gotta go and get some clothes to sleep in so you go ahead and go to bed."
"Good night Patrick," Amethyst smiled as she went to her room.
"Good night Amethyst," I nodded. I left her house and got into my car. "I'll miss you when you go to Quantico."
