Patrick's POV
The next day, Mary was up making breakfast. "You didn't have to do that," I smiled.
"No, it's alright," Mary smiled. "I'm more than happy to cook for my kids and my soon-to-be son-in-law." I nodded. "I didn't get a chance to cook for my kids. So, give me this chance to cook for them."
"It's all good," I smiled. "Besides, mi casa es su casa." Amethyst walked in dressed. Dean and Sam right behind her. "You looked dressed for work."

"I got called," Amethyst nodded

"I got called," Amethyst nodded. "Morgan had called me. I gotta go in."
"You got the promotion, didn't you?" I smiled. Amethyst looked at me and smiled. "Congratulations."
"Thanks," Amethyst smiled. "Don't wait up for me. And Mom, I'm sure your cooking is good."
"I've never cooked a day in my life," Mary nodded. "But I hope to make this something you'll enjoy. You could try some when you get home or I could cook you dinner or something whenever you get home." I looked at Mary and Amethyst looked at me. She turned her gaze back to Mary. "Did I say something wrong?"
"When my team has a case, we usually try to stop it as fast as possible," Amethyst explained. "But we usually don't solve the case for a couple of days. So I'll probably won't be here for a couple of days."
"You just said my team," Sam pointed.
"I got promoted to chief unit," Amethyst nodded. "So, yeah, the BAU is now my team."
"Mom, you said you never cook but I always loved the meatloaf you cooked when I was younger," Dean smiled. "Is there anyway that you can do that?"
"Sorry to burst your bubble, honey, but that was take out," Mary nodded. "You get to work. You don't want to be late."
"It's okay," Amethyst nodded. "I'll call it in as a family emergency."
"Amethyst, you go to work," Dean smiled. "I'm sure we can handle a couple days without you."
"I don't really trust you," Amethyst raised a brow. "No offense, Dean. You're a great big brother but you're not very mature on keeping a house together." I nodded. "So, Sam, Mom, and Patrick, keep the house in one piece, 'kay?"
Bella ran up to Amethyst. "Hi baby," Amethyst smiled as she patted Bella. "Patrick will walk you, alright?" A guy popped in behind Amethyst. "I gotta go." She turned around on her heels. "Who the hell are you?"
"I'm Castiel, a prophet of the Lord," he replied.
"So, an angel?" I asked.
"Yes," he nodded.
"Cas, don't pop up behind our sister like that," Dean nodded. "She can kill you."
"Hello, I'm Castiel," Cas stated. "I'm a good friend of your brothers."
"Yeah, I can see that," Amethyst nodded. "Hopefully I'll get to know you better."
"Sorry, my people skills are rusty," Cas nodded.
"Yeah, well, bye," Amethyst nodded and left.
"What are you doing here, Cas?" Dean asked.
"No, why am I standing in front of an angel?" I asked. "This is just all too much."
"You've been a great servant to Him," Cas looked at me. "You have a spot for yourself upstairs."
"Great," I nodded. "Let's eat some breakfast."
"Okay," Mary smiled. "The tables set and the food is passed. Come on." We walked into the dining room and sat down. "Okay."
"Hold on," I sighed. I fixed Bella and Dan their bowl. "Okay." Bella cocked her head and looked at Dean. "Oh."
"Why is she looking at me like that?" Dean asked.
"Because she wants you to say grace," I smiled as I sat down.
"You're kidding me, right?" Dean asked.
"No," I nodded. "We always say grace when we eat."
"Fine," Dean sighed. "Dear Lord, you know all I've done and You know we're trying to save the world. So, please watch over us. In Your name I pray, Amen." I looked at Dean. "Let's eat."
"Yeah," I smiled. We started eating. "Mary, this is really good."
"Really?" Mary asked.
"Yes, and this is coming from someone who loves food," I nodded.
"Well, thank you," Mary smiled.
"This is actually pretty good," Sam smiled. "Thanks Mom."
"You're welcome," Mary nodded.
"I agree," Dean nodded.
"I can see that," Mary watched Dean as he kept shoving food in his mouth. "Could you eat any faster?"
Dean looked at all of us before looking at Mary again. "No," Dean replied with his mouth full of food.
"Please don't speak with your mouth full," I replied. We finished eating. I was about to do the dishes but Mary was doing them. "Mary, the cook doesn't do dishes in this house."
"No, it's fine," Mary nodded. "I cook, I clean."
"No, you cook, I clean," I smiled. "Go bond with Sam and Dean."
