Chapter 9

Cartoonz pov          ~ 1 week later ~

Vanoss is officially part of the family, I noticed that he tries his best to help around the house and with training which is nice. I also noticed this strange aura around him and flame or hot stuff don't seem to bother him. The other day Moo was cooking and accidently hit the pan which made if fly off the oven with the hot food going towards Moo. Before it touched Moo Vanoss come out of nowhere and covered Moo in his wings. The hot food and pan hit Vanoss wings but didn't burn him. He picked up the pan and it didn't burn him. I asked Moo to run some tests but they didn't help figuring it out. I have a few ideas why flame or hot stuff won't hurt him.

Delirious "How long are you going to stare out the window and mumble under your breath? "

I turn to look at Delirious who is leaning against the door frame.

Cartoonz " For as long as I want to, why? "
Delirious " I don't cause its almost dinner time and you have been in here for hours. "

I sigh and stand up.

Cartoonz " Okay. "

Delirious starts to head down stairs, I smell something delicious been cooked. As I reach the bottom of the steps I hear some people yell awesome. I enter the kitchen and see Terroriser holding Vanoss's arm while Moo tries to burn him. I cross my arms and watch for a minute. Vanoss seems to be bored as the crew tries to burn him in different ways. Vanoss finally stands up and says enough. Vanoss gets out of Terroriser's grip and then goes to the living room.

Cartoonz " What's going on here? "
Mini " Vanoss is invincible! "

Mini and Lui take off laughing whie Moo and Terroriser go back to the food. Wildcat and Nogla sit down waiting. Delirious comes in the kitchen. I go into the living room and see Vanoss staring out the window. He puts his hand on the window and then looks around. He nows looks like he is worried.

Cartoonz " You okay? "

He looks at me and I see his eye's have changed, there now a crimson with gold. He says something I could quite hear. He blinks a few times then his eyes change back to chocolate brown with a tiny bit of gold.

Vanoss " Oh hey Cartoonz. "
Cartoonz " Umm... What was all that? "
Vanoss " All what? "
Cartoonz " Your eye's changed color. "
Vanoss " Oh... I-- "

Vanoss suddenly turns his attention back to the window.

Vanoss " Someone is watching us. "
