Chapter 34

Vanoss pov

These two new people were really happy the next morning, as soon as they saw me I was dragged to their lab. I sat on the bed watching them run back and forth between decks on either side of the room. So many tubes, bottles and glasses of colorful liquid. Don't get me started on the paper that covers most of the wall, floor and other surfaces.

Vanoss " So uh... What's going on? "
Smarty " Well... It's just... Your-
Smii7y " Chill out. Take a breath or at least stop and actually talk to him. "
Smarty " I'm sorry, just I'm so excited. "
Vanoss " Why? "

Smarty he stops and you could see the excitement pouring out of him. He smiles so big.

Smarty " Well you are the perfect hybrid, now don't get upset. It is sad -

Nurse " I'm sorry but we lost another one. "
Moadie " Again!?... Great, well you better find me one that won't fail or we are going to have problems. "

Moadie sighed and continued down the hall. A few cries of children could be heard as they near the stairs that lead to the floor below. Moadie walked down the stairs, stopping at the bottom. Moadie starred down the cell filled hall.

Everyone who worked for her never really knew why she did what she did. Most thought she absolutely sick in the head, mad and needed to be locked away but none dared to challenged her. The outside world was like it didn't exist, we we're cut off from all human contact except with the people we worked with. She made sure none of the world knew what was happening, now being a guard you had alot of freedom. The guards were usually asses or just plain mean but that is what Moadie wanted. Total loyalty to her, what she was doing was wrong. So many kids have died here, so many taken from good homes, loving parents.

Moadie walked down the hall asking information on each kid, she didn't care to look at them. As they got to the section where older kids slash the ones who have been here the longest, is when she looked at them. Information poured out of the two doctors that followed her. She nodded or hummed here and there never really giving a response. Two kids, in a cell, side by side caught her eye. They sat in the corner, hands on the wall like they could tell the other was there, almost like they feel them. A smile was so rare here that it melted people's hearts, just like now. The doctors silently awed as Moadie watched the two. They had built their own world, ignoring the rest and just focused on them. Moadie read the signs of how close they were, a few others were close like them.

The cells were the children and the few teenagers were set up into different sections. The new, the older and the failed and work in progress. Some of the kids had been experimented on, the few that survived stayed in cells till Moadie gave the orders of the next step. Five steps took place. One was capture and stabilize, Two was test abilities, strength and everything else, Three is when the experiments start, Four is advanced testing and control and Five, the final step was loyalty or destroy. Control was a big part in the steps and to live she need loyalty but most faked control, hoping to escape.

After so many fails, Moadie changed the steps into longer process with more testing. What used to be a few years was now seven to eighteen years. She wanted the perfect weapon for a reason that was finally discovered. The government on our side of the world was at war and need something powerful and something they would expect. So to keep it secret, Moadie was the only one told and givin resources, tools and everything else to get the job done.

Vanoss " Wow, wait you worked for her!? "
Smarty " Now chill out, I'm part of a resistance and I needed to to stop her. She needs to be stopped or even killed, destroyed or at least something. "
Smii7y " We tried to help as many kids as we could to escape that hell hole. "
Smarty " But some how she found about us. Ze, Gassy and Galm kinda liked us and followed slashed helped us. We've been following her ever since, she has moved alot since you and your group escaped. "
Vanoss " I see. "

I sat here on the table stewing about everything that has happened so far.

Lui " Vanoss! "

Lui came running into veiw looking happy and like him old self.

Smarty " Oh good they worked. "
Vanoss " Worked? "
Smii7y " Ze could tell he was in heat and so we gave him a pill to mask the pheromones and not be so... Well... "
Smarty " Horny, don't be afraid to say it. "
Smii7y " Such a straight forward doc. "

Lui sat beside me on the table, we looked around and watched the docs work away.

Lui " Sleep good? "
Vanoss " Actually I slept really well. "
Lui " What are we going to do? "
Vanoss " Right now? Rest but I think we should later come up with a plan. "
Lui " Right, let's do that tomorrow and for at least right let's try to enjoy life. Like let's celebrate with candy or something. "

All I could do is smile as he pretends to eat candies.

Normal is far from what we have, maybe one day.
