Chapter 20

I twirled around only to be face to face with Sting.

"S-Sting?" I blurted, loudly. He smirked, and crossed his arms. 

"Hey, Lucy, whats up with you these days?" He asked. I was still completely shocked that he's here. Wait why is he here?

"Why're you here, sting?" I asked. He just shrugged. "I felt like taking a walk." He replied, simply. "What's with the clothes?" He asked, throwing his arm over my shoulder. 

"School."

He started laughing. I blushed. "W-What?" I stuttered. He stopped laughing and looked at me with a smirk. "I didn't expect you to still like school." He smirked. 

"Why's that?" I asked, curious. 

He shrugged. "Well, you got kidnapped, and beaten. It's a wonder you're not afraid to go to school. Minerva could come and snatch you up." He pointed out, making shivers run down my spine. "But don't worry. I'll protect you with my life." He grinned. He reminds me of Natsu. "I'm going to be late!" I pulled his arm off my shoulder and continued to walk down the street but with a faster pace. I stopped in my tracks when Sting appeared in front of me. 

"I'll help ya get there." Before I could say anything else Sting was bending down so I could get on his back. "It's fine." I assured with a smile. He just shook his head. "Got nothing better to do."

I sighed and crawled on his back. "Fine." I gave in. Before I could say anything else we were off. He was fast. And I  mean fast. Our surrounding were all a blur as we sped through Magnolia. I gripped his shoulders, tightly when he turned corners. Then a thought crossed my mind.

How does he know where my school is?

We finally made it to school. I slid off his back and dusted myself off. "Hey, Lucy?" I turned to Sting who was reading a paper on the board posted in front of school. "Prom is tomorrow?"

The whole world froze. I completely forgot about prom!

"Lucy?" I snapped back into reality and looked up at Sting. "You forgot about prom didn't you." He smirked. I blushed. "No! It never crossed my mind." I lied. Prom's been on my mind ever since that paper was posted. 

"Who you going with?" He asked. I thought for a moment. Natsu? Before I could say anything he spoke up. 

"Well doesn't matter to me. I told you I would win you over, and that's exactly what I'm going to do." He kissed my forehead and ran away, leaving me with a red face.
