Chapter 30

I can't believe it. Its the day before my wedding. I never thought I would be forced to marry someone who's not someone I love.

I cuddled into a pillow cried. I don't want to get married. CURSE MY FATHER! HE DOESN'T CARE ABOUT ME! HE NEVER HAS AND NEVER WILL!

I cried more and more and I just let the tears fall. I hate my life. Damn it all to hell. Why did I have to be born into this life. Why couldn't I have picked how my life was going to be. I would want to live a life where I had no worries and I was with someone I loved.

That someone is supposed to be Natsu. I cried harder until I just have up and fell asleep.

I sat up against a tree, holding a teddy near close. I was sitting right outside of a festival. I wore a white sweater, and a blue skirt and boots. My hair was in pigtails which were tied up by two red bows.

"Oi, Luce!" I turned my head towards the voice and my heart stopped. Natsu ran towards me with something in his hand. He wore a hoodie, jeans, and high tops. His pink hair was ruffled as always and he was running towards me with a smile on his face.

He stopped and fell down beside me. He grabbed my hand and placed something in it. I looked to see it was a necklace with a silver heart charm. I blushed and looked at his also pink face.

"Thank you." He just grinned and gave me a quick kiss.

"I love you so freaking much." He mumbled as we parted lips. I grinned. "I love you too."

Suddenly the sky grew dark and it began to rain. He pulled off his hoodie and gave it to me. I slipped it on, hiding the blush on my face. We walked hand in hand down the street enjoying the weather and each others company.

We stopped and I tore my eyes away from the ground to in front of us. There stood Lisanna soaking wet. She pointed to me and whispered.

"Cheater."

The air grew colder than it was before and I felt Natsu pull away from me. He walked over to Lissana and glared at me.

"How could you, Lucy. I thought you loved me." He barked. Tears fell down my face as I tried to move but couldn't.

"I didn't cheat Natsu please believe me! I love you please believe me!" He turned away from me and wrapped his arm around Lisanna and pulled her closer.

"You must be cold, Lisa. I'll take you home."

My legs felt like jelly and I instantly fell to the ground. I watched as they walked away, leaving me in the rain. Suddenly Natsu turned and walked back over to me. I smiled with hope.

"I need my hoodie back for Lisa." I gulped down and reluctantly took off the hoodie. He snatched it from me and hurries back to Lisanna before giving it to her. I cried as they were now out of sight and I started hitting the ground like a child.

"SHE'S LYING NATSU! PLEASE COME BACK TO ME!"

I woke up, screaming. A maid came to see what happened but I shooed her off saying I was fine and it was just a dream.

I checked outside and saw that the sky was darkening. I need some air.

I got dresses and checked myself in the mirror. I stared at how similar it was to the outfit in my dream. Basically the same oufit.

I grabbed my shoes and slipped them on and left.

I walked through the park breathing in the fresh air. I stood and stared down into a lake. I saw my reflection and splashed it away. I don't even want to look at myself. I leaned in closer to the water and before I knew it I lost my balance and began to fall. I waited for the contact with cold water but it never came. I opened my eyes and saw myself hovering above the water. I looked over my shoulder and my heart stopped.

"N-Natsu!" I squieked. He pulled me up to where I stood right in front of him. I wanted nothing more than to wrap my arms around him and kiss him. But I knew I couldn't. He thinks I cheated and I'm also engaged.

"Thanks.." I mumble looking down at my feet. He just grumbled.

"Natsu I'm really sorry." I looked up to meet his gaze but I felt tears swell up in my eyes. He glared at me.

"Your sorry for cheating on me?" He raised an eyebrow and I frowned.

"I didn't cheat on you and I can promise you that because I love you with everything I have."

He rolled his eyes and I felt my heart break a little more than it already was.

"You say you love me but you're getting married."

I stare at him wide eyed. How does he know that I'm engaged?! Before I could say anything he spoke up.

"I don't get you Lucy. You're so confusing it hurts my head! You say you love me but then you turn around and stab me in the back! It's either you love me or you don't!" He yelled out. I stared at him.

Both our hearts are broken.

"Why are you getting married?" He asked through gritted teeth.

"I have to marry, Leo. I promise it's for a good reason." I chocked out, letting tears fall down my face.

I shivered at how cold it was and I felt something get put into my hands. I looked down and saw his scarf. I stared at him in disbelief.

"Its chilly so wear that and give it back to me later." He mumbled.

I stared at him completely in shock. This was his dad's scarf!

"I can't except this, Natsu it was your father's." I tried to give it back but he pushed it away.

"Just wear it." And with that he walked away. I slowly walked back towards the mansion with the scarf around my neck giving me warmth.
