I followed Tony as he approached the moat. The drawbridge was closed, but started lowering down as soon as we got up to it.
My red flip flops smacked against the wood as we crossed the bridge. I couldn't believe this was going to be my new home.
In front of me was a magnificent fountain, with flowers all around me. I ran up to it and dipped my hand in the cool water. "This is amazing!"
Tony came up beside me. "I'm glad you like it, Princess Lilah. Right this way."
I figured that was his nice way of telling me to hurry up. I followed him around the fountain, but I stopped to stare at a beautiful statue.
It was of a princess, reaching out to a prince statue on the other side of the walkway. "She's beautiful..." I breathed.
I stretched out my arm and ran my fingers along her stone dress. After a minute, Tony interrupted my amazement.
"Are you ready to go inside, Princess Lilah?" I sighed. I knew I would have time to explore this place later, so I nodded.
"Time to see my new home sweet home."
