The waterfall grew nearer and nearer. Sarah was at the bottom of the slide now. She fell on the hard stone with a bump, the water still moving her forward. Then she saw it. A rope, hanging only a few metres away from her, attached to a metal hook at the end of the rock. Heaving a sigh of relief, she grabbed the rope and just hung there for a few minutes, catching her breath. The water still rushed down the rock.

Looking down, Sarah saw a fast flowing river, that curved round the bend at the end of her vision. To her left there were 2 other waterfalls, with a large gap filled with greenery that continued as far as the rivers went, in between, all 3 looking identical. Surrounding the rivers was a vast pool of water as far as the eye could see.

Sarah wished she could find Sofia. She started to climb down the rope. It was about 10 metres long; she was planning to swing off it onto the middle strip of greenery, where she would walk down, to try and find Sofia.

Sarah reached the bottom of the rope her feet touching the water. It was harder than she thought, trying to swing herself away from the water and jump onto the land. She wondered if Sofia had managed to do it. Sofia was small for her age and often climbed trees, swinging herself off the branches.

Sarah kicked the rock and when the rope was nearly above the land, she jumped. To her relief, she landed on the grass. She stood up, feeling cold as she was wearing only her swimming costume.

"Maybe I should go back in the water, where it might be warmer," she thought. "I can hang on to the river bank, and move my hands along."

So Sarah, hanging on tightly, lowered herself in the water. She grinned, for the water was hot, like a jacuzzi. But as she was enjoying it so much, she was caught off guard, lost her grip, and was carried down the river.

Although she was annoyed at herself for letting go of the rope, she was glad the water was hot and that it was going in the same direction as the strips of land.

As the river carried Sarah further along, she saw that all the rivers fed into a large pool of water and the land stopped abruptly. There was still no sign of Sofia. As she got closer to the pool, Sarah noticed that all the water was being sucked down.

"Oh no." She thought. With a scream, Sarah entered the huge bowl of water, was swirled round and round and sucked under the surface.
