Hey guys I'm so sorry that I had taken so long to upload but I'll try my best to somehow make it up to you:) Just hold onto your knives a little longer ;)
Not edited. Sorry<3
While I sat on the white comfortable couch, I soon found myself staring into nothingness but I still could hear the clatters of things that Gina, the elder, is making in the kitchen. For the first time in awhile, I found myself alone, thoughts swarming through my head. With my parents gone, killed by my own mate, there was absolutely no one to soothe my fears away. Fears of how my future will unfold. I had no one to caress my thick wavy brunette hair as I would lay on their lap while tears would rapidly roll down on my cheeks. Throughout my whole life, I was never this emotional but knowing that the person who's suppose to cherish you till death is the one who killed your parents is very saddening. I had hoped for someone who'll be able to share the love that both my parents had. The kind of love where he'll tell me how beautiful I am after waking up, despite having a monstrous bed-hair. The kind of love where he'll steal little kisses from your lips that would leave me dazed and breathless. The kind of love where he only wants to look at me with loving in his eyes. The kind of love where no awkwardness would ever surpass us both. The kind of love where he would never thought of laying a hand on me no matter how annoyed or angered he is with. So many expectations I had for my mate that I knew would never happen for as long as I live. Not only he had slapped me but killed both of my parents.
"Luna! Your breakfast's ready!" Gina singsonged from the kitchen, quickly disrupting my thoughts away and I was thankful for it. If she hadn't disrupted me, my thoughts would quickly wander off into much more hurtful thoughts.
My naked feet softly padded unto the mahogany hardwood floor. Heading towards the kitchen, the aroma of fried rice and chicken and porridge wafted on every corner of the kitchen. The delicious scent filling up my nose causing my stomach to rumble that I for sure know that Gina had heard very clearly. Embarrassed by my action, I lifted my small hands to cup my chubby cheeks only to find them warm. Looking down briefly on the floor, my hair slowly cascading down unto my face, covering my beet-red face away from Gina's amused steel blue-grey eyes.
"Come on now Luna. You don't have to be shy." Gina softly spoke as she sauntered slowly to the oven that is currently filled with different steaming metal pans.
"Please stop addressing me as your Luna. You could just call me Era." I gently told her, my hands fumbling as I directed my eyes on her small, slightly hunched form.
"Honey, you know I can't do that. Once the Alpha hears me addressing you with just your name, he would be livid. You and I both know that." She replied quietly but was loud enough for me to hear while effortlessly stirring the porridge with a long wooden spoon.
A soft heavy sigh came out of my mouth as my shoulders slumped in defeat. Gina turned around to face me and smiled warmly at me, her blue grey eyes lightening, thins lips set into a smile making her eyes wrinkle. "I'll set the food for you. Just sit on the table and relax." My head quickly snapped to hers as I was about to decline her generous offer but was quickly dropped as she sternly looked into my eyes to tell me that nothing could change her mind. Quietly taking a seat on one of the black arm-chairs with a milky soft cushioned bottom.
I lifted up the spoon that's filled with porridge and carefully placed it into my mouth. I closed my eyes for a moment as I too felt myself nod my head of approval. A small smile gracing up my face, my gaze turned towards Gina, who too was eating her porridge. Feeling my gaze on her, she met my eyes that had the colour of the deep forest pools.
"Thank you so much for this. Next time if you want, I could help you cook." I shyly offered.
"If you wouldn't mind Luna."
