THE VIDEO I CAN'T BREATHE GODDAMNIT

"I see the sun begin to set, and we gotta, gotta get away" » Bridget Mendler

A loud bird screech awoke me from my nap. Ugh really?

I sighed contently when I noticed that the car had stopped shaking and the sun shone weakly through the windows.

I opened my eyes slightly, rubbing the sleep out of them before letting them slowly adjust to the light. Oh shit, I'm pretty sure I just smudged my make up. Whatever. It's not like I've really got anyone to impress; except Harry of course (not that I wanted to impress that asshole). I sat up, groaning at the stiffness of my neck.

Harry was till asleep in the drivers seat, calm huffs of air leaving his plump lips.

He looked peaceful, so different from he was awake. His curls falling lightly down his jawline and his long lashes only barely grazing his cheekbones when his eye lashes fluttered, presumably from his dream. I wondered what he was dreaming about.

Something about Harry intrigued me. Maybe it was the fact that he wore black skinny jeans in July, or how he was a total jerk one second, and so sweet the next. Maybe it was the many tattoos or the crooked dimply smile. It could have been the long hair and the impressive physique.

I could tell that he wasn't really a jerk, he just acted like one. Those are two very different things.

I diverted my eyes back out the window. I wondered what Austin was doing right then.

Were my parents mad at him? I sure hoped not. The trip was completely my decision I didn't them to take it out on him.

What about Selena? Oh my god, I hadn't told her about this yet. She was sure to have a field day.

I twisted my body to the back seat, before remembering that I had drenched my phone. Great, just fabulous.

My stomach made a weird gurgle as I turned back to my seat, reminding me of my hunger. Surely we would get some breakfast when Harry woke up, not that I knew when that was.

Maybe I should surprise him?

Yes, I was going to have breakfast for when he woke up, it was the least I could do to thank him for practically saving my life yesterday, and agreeing to take me home.

I scrambled back to my bag, this time searching for my money. Where the heck was it? Aha! Gotcha!

I grabbed the red leather wallet and sorted out my money. I probably wasn't gonna need $10,000 so I took most of it out, leaving $20 for breakfast.

I put my hair up in a messy bun and looked on the mirror in the visor. I looked like a train wreck. There was smeared make up left on my face from yesterday and my bangs were all over the place.

I got my toiletries out of my bag and proceeded to clean myself up, deciding to go make-up free. I didn't have the patience to deal with make-up on a road trip. I tried to tame my bangs, hardly succeeding. Whatever.

An oversized t-shirt probably wasn't appropriate city attire, which is why i scrambled into the backseat and changed into a simple red v-neck and some loose black shorts.

I opened the door. Wait. If Harry woke up and I was gone, he would probably leave without me. So, I grabbed a pen and an old napkin and wrote:

Getting food for us, jerk.

I didn't want to seem too nice. Good enough.

I left the car and smiled at the definitely improved weather. It was still windy, but the sun shone weakly through the clouds and the birds were out. It would dry off pretty quickly.
