"'I saw something I've never seen in you, it's got me shaking" ~Kat Dahlia

Even though our argument delayed our driving schedule, and we stopped for food twice that day, we made it over the Missouri border just as the sun set. The sun had replaced the rain in the early afternoon and had brought forth a stiffling heat. Heat waves made the red sun blurry as it dissapeared behind the hills and cast long shadows on the cracked pavement.

The mood was completed by the soft guitar riffs coming from the radio as they played. Kings of Leon's Find Me. I added the lyric how did you find me?  to the soon-to-be paper airplane and doodled a small compass by it. I was creating small texture details in the glass when Harry spoke up.

"What do you wanna have for dinner?"

I thought for a moment, then shrugged. "I don't know. Maybe we could get takeout and just eat on the back of the truck?"

Harry nodded. "Sounds good. Taco Bell?" He gestured to the sign ahead, signaling a Taco Bell in a mile.

"Do I look like I've been to Taco Bell?"

His warm laugh filled the car and i couldn't stop my grin. He looked over at me. "You have a lot of culinary wonders to catch up on, Princess."

I smiled, "It's on you."

"Well I'd love charge some more on you then." He smirked that annoyingly flustering smirk of his and I playfully rolled my eyes.

"Hey, I'm already paying for the food, Jerk. Don't act like I'm not being generous enough."

Harry chuckled and held his hand out for my wallet. I hadn't even noticed that we got off the highway, but here we were in the Taco Bell drive-through. I handed him some money.

Five minutes and a small argument later, the car rolled onto an abondoned field as the paper bag got uncomfortably warm on my thighs. I got out as soon as we stopped, eager to get some air on my sweaty back. Even though the air was still warm, the fact that the sun was almost gone brought some heat relief.

We both streched our limbs before climbing onto the back of the truck and unpacking the food. I streched my legs out in front of me and leaned on the metal seperating the outside from the interior.

Small conversation was made as we ate our tacos (they were amazing, I admit), and I discovered Harry's awful love for bad knock knock jokes. I told him one and suffered for the next half an hour as he cracked one joke after another. I laughed anyway. Partly because they were so bad, they became funny, and partly because he seemed to be getting an awful lot of joy out of telling them.

At some point I decided to stop the terror. "Ooh, I've got a good one! You start," I exclaimed, hoping Harry would fall for it.

And he did. "Knock knock."

"Who's there?"

He looked at me blankly for a couple moments before letting out a small laugh and groaning. "I can't believe I fell for that! I fucking read that book!"

I laughed. "Well, that's pretty bad. It's stuck with me ever since I read it, but I've never had a chance to use it."

He shook his head at himself, before sitting back up straight and readjusting his hair. I observed him as he cleared his throat. It was something he did a lot. Every minute or so, his hair would fall in his face and he would lean down, brush it back with his hands, and clear his throat. If I got a dollar for evertime he did that, I would be a millionaire. Not that that's not already the case...

After a couple moments of silence I spoke up. "Do you wanna listen to music? I've got some earbuds in my bag."

"Uh.. sure."
