"'Cause I've been talking to my friends, the way you take away my breath" ~5 Seconds of Summer

"For Fuck's sake! Do what you have to do! I prominse I'll have the money by the end of the week!"

Harry's loud shouting woke me up the next morning. I pried my eyes open to see him standing with his back to me, hands in his hair, arguing with someone over the phone.

Should I say something? I decided against it and just stood up, hoping Harry would notice. He did. The creak of the matress made him turn to me, and I was shocked at what I saw.

Harry's eyes were red and bloodshot, glistening with unshed tears. Tears. Harry Styles was close to crying.

We just stood there for a couple seconds, me with a shocked, yet curious expression, and Harry like a deer caught in the headlights. Once again, he was the first to move by turning away and rushing out of the room. The walls shook when he slammed the door, and I'm sure it was heard accross the motel.

I watched him argue through the window for a little while, before taking a couple deep breaths and going to take a shower.

Since I had used up my body wash in the last motel, I used Harry's and hoped he wouldn't mind. Maybe I just wouldn't tell him.

The pink hairdye was holding up surprising well, considering the ameteur way we had applied it. I smiled to myself as I left the coolness of the shower and stepped out into the already heated bathroom, signaling another sweltering day.

I clad myself in an airy black and white striped summer dress, before stepping back into the room. Harry was still outside, I noticed, so I sat down on the bed and waited.

It only took me about a minute of waiting before I became bored and started looking around the room for something to do. Selena would come up with something. She always came up with fun ways to pass time, even if we were to be locked up in an empty room with no windows or doors.

I sighed. I couldn't even call her, because Harry obviously had the phone. I sighed again and began softly singing to myself, "I could stay with you for hours in an empty room, and never get bored, never have nothing to do. You're my other half, you're what mak- Aha!"

My eyes stopped as they skimmed over the far left corner of the room, where an old landline phone stood on a small table. I quickly walked over to it and picked it up, instinctively dialing Selena's number.

She picked up on the fourth ring, "Hello?"

"Hey!"

"Taylor?"

"The one and only." I heard her laugh on the other side.

"Oh my gosh, hi! How are you? Where are you?"

"Umm... just over the Missouri border right now I think."

"Well you're travelling fast, look at you! What's up with Mr. Loverboy?"

"Sel! Wh-"

I was interupted by an oddly familiar laugh at the other end of the line and tried to remember where I had heard it before. "Niall?"

"Hello," an unmistakable irish accent answered.

"Oh my fucking god, it worked! Are you dating? When did you meet? Does Harry know yet? Fucking he-"

This time it was Selena that interrupted me. "We've been on literally one date. Two days ago. No. And since when do you swear?!"

I let out a nervous laugh, "Oh right.. ummm... like, two days ago."
