Lucy's POV
It wasn't my fault that Aramantha's life reminded me so much of mine.
When I was little, I lived in a mansion that was as big as hers was right now. I was a pretty lonely person, and didn't exactly have any friends. I would always try to make my father proud of me, but he never really paid that much attention to me at all.
I guess that was why I wanted to follow Aramantha so much. I wanted her to be safe. I wanted her to know that there were people out there that cared about her, and that there were people who wanted to be friends with her.
"Woah," Natsu breathed out beside me, stopping at the foot of the mansion.
It really was a big place, even for a mansion. It was so beautifully decorated, with complex, yet unique designs that were symmetrical everywhere. The house was purely white except for the roof, which was pitch black. The curtains were all black, and so was the door. It seemed like a pretty orderly house - one that you would expect someone very organized and business-like to live in.
"Are we really going inside there?" Happy asked, hovering right above Natsu's head.
"Isn't this just like your house, Lucy?" Gray asked, giving me a glance. It was true. This mansion did remind me of my mansion.
"Yeah......" I trailed off, smiling almost wistfully.
"Let's get going," Erza instructed, and we all walked to the black door. Erza rang the doorbell, and then we waited.
"Maybe we should've thought this over?" Natus asked, looking at the house.
"We just want to make sure that Aramantha made it home alright," I reminded him, looking at the door. The colour was almost mesmerizing, and I tore my eyes away from it when heard a creaking noise close to the door.
A very strict-looking lady answered. She wore a dark blue dress with frills, and a frilly hat as well. She was tall and rigid, like she was just in a meeting. In fact, she even clutched a bunch of papers in one hand, and her steely-looking eyes glared down on us.
"What are you kids doing here?" She asked crisply, frowning slightly.
"W-we wanted to........" I began, not knowing how the sentence should end.
"Give something to someone named Aramantha? We were sitting near her on the train, and she had forgot something. We asked around, and people say that there's an Aramantha in this house, so we just wanted to return it," Gray finished smoothly. I never knew he was that good of a liar!
"Oh really? Aramantha just arrived back home, you see. You are welcome inside, and wait for her. She will be with you all shortly," The lady replied, stepping aside, but still glaring at us.
We walked slowly inside, and there was a lush carpet greeting us at the front steps. A beautiful chandelier hung on the ceiling, and there were huge, luxurious couches surrounding a giant T.V. There was a glass table in the middle of the couches, and there were teacups on there with tea in them, still steaming hot. People were sitting around the couches, and they looked equally as important and business-like as the lady who answered the door. Maybe we did interrupt a meeting after all.
"Felix!" The lady called out sharply. A man quickly hurried to her side, and bowed. He was wearing a typical servant's uniform, though it looked very expensive, with the tie and all.
"Bring these people to the living room," The lady instructed, and walked back to the circle of couches.
"Please follow me," The man told us, and we hurriedly followed him room after room, until finally we reached what seemed like one end of the house. It was still a very big room, with a grand piano and huge windows. There were comfy couches as well, and also a glass table in the middle, but there was no T.V.s. The room was pretty much bare, so it was probably just a room for enjoying the sound of the piano.
