Lucy's POV

"Excuse me, have you ever met a boy named Haseni-kun?" I asked a boy about the same age as me. I was standing among the busy crowds of the morning in what seemed to be the town square. The sun was nowhere in sight, as dark, storm clouds clustered in the sky slowly. The stone paths almost seemed to get colder as the warmth was slowly sucked away from the air. Despite all that, everyone seemed to be ignoring the bad weather, and just continuing with their day-to-day jobs. They must've been used to it, but I surely wasn't. This kind of weather made me want to curl up in bed all day and not do anything.

But all of us were now spread out among the streets of this town, asking everyone about Aramantha's long-lost brother. She miraculously seemed to have remembered her brother's name somehow, though she seemed to have forgotten everything else about him.

"Who are you?" The boy asked rather rudely in reply, looking at me up and down like I was planning to break into a bank soon.

"I'm a tourist here. And I'm looking for someone named Haseni-kun. Have you ever heard of him before?" I replied tiredly, rubbing my forehead. I had just started, but it seemed to me like it was going to be a long day.

"Haseni-kun? Never heard of him. He doesn't go to my school, that's for sure," the boy scoffed, and rolled his eyes for good measure. I had no idea what he was trying to prove from showing all that attitude towards me, but I tried to stay calm.

"Thank you anyways," I replied politely, and my gaze slipped from him to all the other people milling about. There had to be at least someone who had heard of that name. And it was hardly forgettable, since that name was pretty unique and special.

"No problem," the boy replied smoothly. I couldn't tell if he was being sarcastic or not, but he walked away before I could ask him anything.

I started to walk in the opposite direction slowly, and looked around carefully. Aramantha's brother must've been fairly older than she was, which must've meant that if he had known any people, it would've been older than Aramantha. I had reasoned that that would amount to people who were about the same age as me, but I had yet to prove that theory.

"Hey, are you looking for someone?" A girl's soft voice drifted up to me. I looked in front of me to this young girl that stood neatly in her plain, white dress and two braids.

"Yes I am," I replied softly, with a smile.

"What's that person's name?" She asked, looking up curiously at me.

"Haseni-kun. Have you heard of his name before?" I asked politely. The little girl shook her head slowly, and frowned.

"No, sorry. That name doesn't seem to be that common, right? How old is he?" The girl asked.

I had no idea why this girl was so curious, but I figured that it was because her parents were probably at work, and this little girl had nothing else to do, "he would be about 17 years old."

"If he is, then he's a big boy right? All the big boys would be over there, near the sea this time of the day. They would go swimming - it's their favorite thing to do. My brother is one of them," the little girl beamed, smiling brightly at me.

"Why don't you ever go with him, then?" I asked.

"Only big people are allowed to be there. It's not for little girls like me, my brother has said to me. So I'm waiting to grow up so that one day, I can join my brother there," the little girl explained rather proudly.

"So....by the sea?" I confirmed.

"Keep on going straight, and you'll reach the sea soon enough. That's where all the big boys are. That's where you'll find the person you're looking for. Every single big boy in this town gathers here," the little girl informed me with a smile and a little wave. Before I could say goodbye, she skipped away happily. I smiled at her small back as she disappeared into the crowd.
