Lucy's POV
I didn't know if it was just me, but the inside of their guild looked quite similar to the one that we have as our Fairy Tail guild. There were the same poles, the second floor with a railing, and the roof angled up into a triangle-like shape arching to the top. However, everything seemed to be made out of some kind of glass that looked really sparkly. The whole building literally sparkled, almost blinding-like, which made it look very new and pretty.
".....wow......" Aramantha muttered behind me, and I could just hear the awe that was raw in her voice. Considering her, it must've left even a bigger impression as it was the first guild building she had ever seen in her life.
"Like it?" Hibiki-kun asked smugly, with a grin directed towards Gray, almost as if taunting him to say anything bad about their guild.
".....it's not bad," Gray murmured, but still glared strongly at Hibiki-kun. At least he had some sense as to not start a fight with one of the guild members in the building we were in.
"This looks rather new," Erza noted, looking around with an impressed expression (I think). Ichiya-senpai automaticaly swooped down to her feet and bowed.
"This place is your home as it is ours, men~" he said breezily.
"Thank you," I replied quickly, before Erza could kick Ichiya-senpai away again (something I felt she was just about to do very soon).
"Of course, you could stay here as long as you want," Hibiki-kun added smoothly, taking my hand and planting a kiss on it. I felt myself blush slightly. Feeling as if I was suddenly being electrocuted, I turned around and saw Gray shooting lightning death glares (quite literally) at Hibiki-kun, who continued to smile that bright smile of his.
"No thank you.....we're just looking for someone....." Wendy mumbled, looking rather flustered. Carle crossed her arms, and huffed.
"Stop acting like a bunch of flirts in the meantime, will you?" She sniffed.
"Aye!" Happy jumped in.
"G-gomen......" Ren-kun muttered, scratching the back of his head sheeplishly.
"We don't act like this most of the time," Eve-kun jumped in helpfully. He had remained rather silent up until now, and I realized it was probably because Ichiya-senpai and Hibiki-kun's presence were so daunting (and demanding).
"Oh my. Is this members from the Fairy Tail guild?" A soft voice asked, walking down the stairs delicately as if they were made of ice.
"Jenny. Yes, they are," Hibiki-kun answered.
"Nice to see you all again," Jenny offered them a smile, and floated away, apparently disinterested in what was happening.
"She would pay more attention to us if Mirajane was here," I grumbled, annoyed that she hadn't even bothered to pay proper attention to us. Apparently, that was the wrong thing to say.
Jenny's head automatically whipped around, and glared at me straight-on, making me cower slightly, "did you just say her name?"
"Y-yes. I'm sorry," I squeaked in response.
"Is she here with you?" Jenny growled back instead, apparently not accepting my apology.
"N-no," I whispered.
Jenny sniffed once, unsatisified yet again, "it would've been much more interesting if she had came."
"Why's that?" Happy asked, and I guess I couldn't blame him. He was just curious.
"Because she's the only woman in your guild that..........can compete with me," Jenny replied haughtily. What was that supposed to mean?
"There's plenty of competition here already," Gray shot back before any of us had a chance to reply. I shot a baffled look at him. Why did he feel the urge to counter that comment, when really, it had nothing to do with him? Jenny was talking about woman, after all.
Jenny sighed, and as if she didn't even want to counter that comment, she marched out of the guild.
"Don't mind her, men~" Ichiya-senpai spoke up, his usual, sparkly self.
"She, on the other hand, always acts like that," Eve-kun agreed.
"You know, it's definitely not the first time she's been like this. I mean, she's always so talkative and thinks that she's so pretty. But the thing is, I really think she should sometimes just see for a second that there are people out there who can be better than her. I mean, obviously I am way better than her, but she obviously can't see that at all. Can you tell? It's so sad she thinks-"
"Is my brother here, or not?" Aramantha intrueppted Hibiki-kun's endless ranting.
"His name is........?" Ren-kun prompted, looking at the little girl patiently.
"Haseni-kun," Aramantha replied, eyebrows furrowed together with worry, "is he here?"
"I'm sorry, men~ there are no Haseni-kuns in this guild," Ichiya-senpai replied, spinning to a stop in front of Aramantha.
"Oh, okay..." Aramantha muttered, looking disappointed.
"Don't look so sad, little girl. I'm sure your brother is definitely a mage in a guild out there somewhere," Eve-kun spoke up, kneeling down and patting Aramantha on the head gently.
"Yes, let's continue," Natsu agreed with a grin.
"So....you're not staying?" Hibiki-kun asked with a glance at Lucy.
"No, we're not. So sorry to disappoint you," Gray replied sarcastically.
"Let's get going," Erza commanded.
"It was nice seeing you all again!" Wendy called out cheerfully, as the group, with Erza in the lead, started marchng out of the guild.
"Please feel free to come and visit again anytime, men~" Ichiya-senpai called out.
"We're always free," Hibiki-kun added playfully, hinting a double meaning between those seemingly innocent words.
"Thank you," I replied politely, and gave a little wave in their direction.
"Where to next?" Erza asked, not wasting anytime.
"Lamia Scale is the closest one next," Eve-kun replied helpfully, behind them.
"Then let us go there. Let's not waste anytime," Erza automatically decided.
"Don't make those decisions by yourself!" Natus protested.
"Do you have any objections, then?" Erza asked, turning to look at Natsu slowly with her face glowering at him.
"N-no ma'am!" Natsu automatically squeaked in response, and fell silent.
"Then let's go."
And with that, our little group headed off to Lamia Scale.
