-Static Bomb/Caitlin's POV-
I heard Party mumble something under his breath but I couldn't hear it properly, something about death which can never be good.
"Cait, it's okay we know him." Party told me, I tried my best not to grin at his new formed nickname for me, I failed making me look like a pedo. "What?"
"What?' I asked back.
"Your face."
"what about it, is there something wrong with it?" I said pretending like I actually cared about my appearance right now.
"No, n-no." this is too funny!
"then what about it?"
"you were just pulling a face." oh god!
"That was my normal face, do you have a problem with my face?"
"what no-" this is classic, I really out did myself.
"do you not like my face?"
"I like your face." he said getting flustered, this was all too easy.
"Wait what? that's just weird." He gaped at me, then I burst out laughing and rolled around while he sat there with a face that can only be described as: -_-
He stood up annoyed, he wouldn't be for long, "stay outside while Dr Death is here, he'll shoot you if he sees you." Party said smiling, wait is he serious or is this pay back?
I never got the chance to asked as Party was already gone.
Fine then.
***
It had been like an hour already, so in the silence Static's voice echoed through my mind.
Just go in.
No, Party said he'd kill me.
I know him, he used be like a dad to me.
Like a Dad, don't you have a real family.
Suddenly I was transported into another memory, I was sitting in a cosy room on a sofa, a fireplace decorated with green holly leaves as well as the rest of the room, but what drew my attention was the glittering tree.
A man similar walked in hold the hand of a dark haired women, they came over to me with a warm smile.
"Merry Christmas Caitlin." The man said, how did he know my name? In all the other memories it was Static Bomb. He looked to have just come home from work, the logo of his company on the brief case he was holding, a red T and C in a white ring.
"Thanks Dad, I can't wait till tomorrow, I'm going to bed so it will come faster." My voice was higher and excited, I looked about 9 here and I watched as my body retreated, suddenly it was the middle of the night and a loud explosion woke younger me from my dream. I sat up mad looked out the window.
Red everywhere, everything was on fire. I heard a scream rip from my lungs, but nobody came running. "Dad! Mum!" I yelled running downstairs dodging the rubble, smoke filled the air and I coughed violently, "Mum?" I squeaked as my eyes landed on a limp body half buried under rumble. "Dad where are you?" I yelled out running into my front yard. Then I saw, it wasn't just my house it was every house as far as I could see. Nothing but devastation.
I couldn't find my Dad anywhere so I did what any lost 9 year would do, I cried until I was sick. Then I decided I couldn't stay here so I grabbed whatever was left in the house which was some clothes, the full biscuit tin (thank the lord), a slightly singed blanket, Dad's old rain coat and a notebook I'd found. No pen though.
