Axel

I could tell by the look on Pepper's face that she was not pleased with Raven. Pepper had always been one who was quick to get jealous - she was also protective and slightly territorial, those traits combining together to make a rather bad combination. It had its perks though - you knew that she would always have your back.

"Pepper," I hissed, running a hand through my hair, "Be nice."

"Why should I?" She retorted, "This is my territory. Why is she even here in the first place?"

"Because I invited her for tea and she needs to fix my shoulder." I reminded, reaching out to place a hand on her shoulder softly.

"Pft- She probably just wants to sabotage our chances of winning the war." Pepper spat, her green eyes narrowing at Raven.

"She doesn't look like that kind of person." I reassured, glancing at the dark-haired girl who was curled up on the make-shift couch.

"Yeah well looks can be deceiving." She dismissed, jerking away from me and letting my hand, which had been on her shoulder, fall back down to my side.

"I'm sorry to cause you so much trouble." Raven murmured, standing up from where she had sat previously to shuffle over to me, her green eyes looking up at me innocently.

"No-no it's okay." I muttered, stepping back slightly so I wouldn't be so close to her.

"Maybe I shouldn't stay for the tea.." She mumbled, her gaze dropping to the floor.

"No, stay. Pepper's in a little mood today." I reassured, smiling down at her.

"Okay." She smiled, the corners of her coral-pink lips curling up, "So how about that shoulder."
