Raven

I missed Axel's sense of humour already. Kylie, although lovely, had a tendency to be quite.. prejudice against Angels however lovely they could be. I grew tired of her continuous down-grading of Angels almost immediately as soon as she started to speak. Instead, I sat down and pulled out a book.

I was half-way through chapter 5 when I was interrupted by Kylie who waved a hand in front of my face.

"What are you reading?" Kylie asked, noticing how I wasn't paying attention to her all of a sudden.

"How To Ruin Everything by Luna Alder." I responded, by gaze not faltering from my line the book.

"Never heard of it before." Kylie shrugged, "What's it about."

"I'm surprised you haven't heard about it before, it's a classic. Its about our world before all of this. And the main character is probably the best representation of a female lead - strong, wild, funny-"

"Doesn't sound like a good book if you ask me." Kylie remarked, cutting me off completely.

'Good thing no one was asking you then.'

"It's a good book. You haven't even read a word of it yet." I insisted through gritted teeth, my gaze lifting up to meet her eyes, my thumb marking where the line was.

Kylie shrugged again before turning to walk away, twirling an arrow in her hand as she bent down to retrieve her bow.

"I'll get some wood for a fire or something."

"Okay." I nodded, slightly relieved that she'd left as I turned back to my line.
