The truth and her punishment

*Tom*
"I am sorry Tom, but you haven't got the whole story". Zac look at me apologetic.

Alicia put her hand on Zac's arm.. the clear intimacy between them eats at me. "Just let me handle this Zac .. it is my responsibility, so just let me do this".

"Are you sure ? Because this is as much me as it is you". He look at her uncertain, she nod and he kiss her cheek lightly and send me a small warning smile before leaving.

Alicia sigh and look at me. "How many scenes do you have left today ? Because this will take some time and I prefer a more private place".

"I only got two more scenes today, but do you expect me to just wait ?" I am not happy about this, I have a feeling this is something bad.

She gently touch my cheek. "You have to Tom..go get those two scenes done, and then meet me in my hotel room.. I promise to tell you everything then".

He guess I don't really have a choice so I nod, Alicia seems to breathe a little easier.. she is right this isn't the place to have this talk.. a talk that can ruin everything.. again.

I feel really bad the last hour before I can pack up for the day and go back to my hotel to wait for Tom.. I am nervous as hell about how he will react.

Will he be able to accept what I am about to tell him ? And can he forgive me for lying ? Will he forgive Zac ?

I make tea while waiting for Tom to show up.. I feel the knot in my stomach grow and grow until it threatens to choke me in fear.

Finally there is a knock on the door and I go to let in Tom.. he gives me a light kiss before looking at me. "Well darling, tell me then".

"Come sit down Tom.. I am going to tell you everything, but please let me finish okay ?" I look at him holding me breath until he nod and sit down.

I sit down opposite him and breathed in deeply. "I haven't been honest Tom.. I don't really know why, but Zac and me.. it wasn't just a fling during the last movie.. far from".

"Yeah I kinda figured". His face emotionless.

"Do you remember when we filmed the first movie ? Zac should have been playing Fandral, but had to say no because he was filming Chuck.. he came by the studio to say hello anyway". I look at him.

Tom nod slowly and I continue. "That was when I first met him, that where when we had a fling".

"So you had a fling 6 years ago and not 4 years ago ? I don't think I quite get it". Tom is looking at me, like he hopes it's the truth, but know it isn't.

I take a slow sip of my tea and answer. "Well yeah.. 6 years ago, and pretty much ever since".

"Ever since ? You are telling me you two have been together for 6 years ? That it was something serious ?" Tom look pretty shocked.

I shake my head. "Never serious and not all the time.. we have both dated others, hell he has even been married, but I was the one to pick him up when she left him and he has been there every time my relationships went badly.. So I guess you can say that we have had a string of flings and one night stands, when we were both single or happened to be in the same town.. we used to joke that we would end up together, but it never happened".

Tom takes a big sip of his tea. "So you have pretty much been friend with benefits the last 6 years.. why did you lie to me ?"

"You didn't seem to like that I had been with him.. so I panicked a bit. I feared the truth was to much, that you wouldn't be able to accept it..I am sorry". I bite my lip.
