When your mistakes come back to bite your ass

"What the hell Luke ? Ever heard about knocking ?" Tom flies of the bed, as the bedroom door is unceremoniously slammed open and a man, who apparently is Luke walk in.

It has been two weeks since we got back together and I haven't had the pleasure of meeting Luke in person before this moment.. I hadn't really hoped our first meeting would have me naked with Tom's head between my thighs.

But okay I am pretty happy we were not doing something much worse, which could easily have been the case.

I instantly pull the blanket all the way up, and hide myself in shame.. while Tom, who doesn't seem to care that Luke see him naked, is now putting on a pair of worn out black jeans.. his voice annoyed. "I didn't give you the key so you could barge in her when I am home..I have the right to privacy you know".

Luke just look at him with his arms crossed on his chest. "And have you heard about doing fucked up stupid things that ruins your career when the bitch goes to the media Tom ? I hope for God's sake that it's Cassidy you got hiding there, or I swear I am out Tom.. I can't handle more than one scandal at a time".

Tom look kind of angry now. "Excuse me ? I might be a lot of things, but I am not a cheater.. of course it's Cass".

"Well that's good then, and nice to meet you finally Cassidy". Luke sends me a somewhat friendly smile as I peak over the duvet.. I smile back and nod before resuming to hide myself.

Tom look at Luke for an answer. "And what was so important you didn't even have time to knock Luke ?"

"Do you know anything about this Tom ? And please for the sake of my health and your career say no and tell me it is all a lie". He hand Tom a tabloid, which seem to be open on an article.

Tom's eyes are quickly scanning the page.. when his hand go up to rub his neck and his chin, before he bites on his thumb, I instantly know what that means, this isn't just going away.

Then Tom sigh and look at Luke. "I am guessing that you want the honest truth.. so I am afraid I can't say no or call it a lie.. but she has twisted it quite a bit.. you must know that".

"Oh shit in a bucket Tom.. how on earth do you want me to save you from this when I can't call her on a lie ?" Luke grab his head.

Tom is biting his lip, looking everything but happy. "I don't know Luke.. I honestly have no idea".

I am looking nervously at Tom, this sound worse and worse by the minute.. and I wonder what can have them both this worried ? "Sweetie what is this about ? What is wrong ?"

"Darling please remember this happened before you came back okay ? About a month ago.. I was in a really dark place and I did something really stupid". He look at me like he is pleading for his life.

I nod slowly.. unsure if I even really want to know what this is about. "Can I see it Tom ?"

"Of course.. but I need you to keep in mind she has twisted it quite a lot.. so please do not believe this is the whole truth". He reluctantly hand me the magazine.

I sit there and read the article while Tom and Luke are discussing if there is any way to play this down.

When I see the pictures and read her words I instinctively put her hand over my mouth stifling a gasp, and I have to keep reminding myself that we weren't together at that time.

This have to be really bad for Tom's reputation and career.. it might even be the very thing that will ruin everything he has worked so hard to achieve. I can't see how Luke can put a positive spin of this or make it go away..stop people from seeing him as a totally different person than before.

It hurts me on Tom's behalf.. yes he has royally fucked up here and no doubt he has made some stupid choices.. but he look so broken right now, surely he know what this will bring.

"I am so very sorry darling.. I really hate to pull you with me through this". He look at me, and I notice that his eyes are getting misty.

I send him a reassuring smile. "Don't worry about me Tom.. we will work this out, and no matter what happens, I am with you".

"Thank you darling.. you to Luke, I am so sorry, and I understand if you need to cut me loose.. I can't expect you to support me through this". He look at me first and then at Luke.

Luke roll his eyes and sigh. "This is some serious shit Tom and I seriously don't know how to fix it.. you might be done for.. but no matter what, I am by your side to the end".

"Thanks Luke.. I honestly don't know what I should do without the two of you". He hugg Luke and then come to kiss me softly and lovingly.

"We better go downstair and work on a press release Tom.. so we can get it out before this spreads to much..at least trying to make some see your side". Luke look at Tom who nod.

Tom softly caress my cheek. "We are right downstairs darling.. take your time, put on some clothes and come down when you are ready".

"Just go take care of this Tom. I'll be down in a minute". I send him a loving smile as he leave.. hoping and praying for the best possible outcome.
