Chapter 8
Cry just messaged me to be ready. I smiled widely when I saw a group call incoming. I braced myself to not be shy this time. Pressing the answer button the Skype call popped up and I saw two faces. I recognized Red and Cry and above the name Russell I could see an empty chair. Wow. They use face cam during the call. Well, I’m surprised.
“Hello.” Red waved to me and I smiled.
“Hey.” I said back.
“Russ went to pee and Snake will be here in any moment. You guys ready?” Cry exclaimed. Red nodded.
“Yes.” I nodded.
“And with that the stream started.” Cry laughed and we joined in.
“Who is this, Cryyyy?” Russ asked dragging the y. So he’s back.
“Remember today I told you that she will be joining.” Cry explained.
“Ooh, ya. So. What’s your name?” Russ asked and I froze.
“Dude, no.” Cry whispered.
“Wha..?” Russ looked confused.
“She doesn’t like to talk about personal stuff.”
“No it’s okay, friend. I’ll tell you, just not in front of people. I… I don’t like people to know stuff about me.”
“O-okay.” He had apologetic look on his face.
“SO!” Cry suddenly yelled. “Shadow you’re here first time so you get to introduce us.”
“Oh.” I concentrated to remember the text what I needed to say and the tone they always did it in.
“Heyy.. And welcome to Late Night with Cry and Russ featuring Red!”
“Hey.” she put in.
“And me, Shadow. Hello!” I chuckled.
“Huh.” I heard Snakes voice echo through my ears.
“And Snake.” I chirped. Oh. My. God. He turned on facecam. I gasped quietly. And let a girl enjoy herself. HE WAS BEAUTIFUL!!! Those blue eyes and dark brown hair that were pretty long, and that nose and those lips. I just wanted to kiss them. Ok I’m done. Sorry.
“SHADOW!” Cry yelled and I shook my head.
“Yes?” I asked innocently.
“Where did you go? It took like five minutes to call you back in.” Did I really take so long to stare at Snake? Well probably.
“Oh. I just spaced out. I had a flashback.” I lied. Looks like you can’t lie to Cry because on his face formed an evil smirk and I understood that he knew what I was doing. I saw Red and Russ smirk too.
“Oh.. I see.” Evil tone in his voice. Please don’t say anything. “So anyway. Let’s play Hawken.” I nodded even though he couldn’t see that.
