ROYAL SORCERER FOR DAYS...

CHAPTER 4

I opened the great big oak doors and entered the hall where the king's throne was, I was really nervous about two things:

one, I was setting out to defeat an evil person when I am technically not even a saucerer myself! Yikes!

Two, why in the world did Alex/the king tell me to come here where there are so many knights and royals?

I took a deep breath 'Hoooooo, hoooooo'

"now, Kate you need to and have to control yourself in front of all these royals!"

"ah! Kate it's you, I see you are all packed and ready to go and defeat that Alfred ONCE AND FOR ALL!"

"yeah, right your majesty"

"now, now Kate what did I tell you my name was?"

"Alex, your majesty.... I mean... um, Alex"

"that's right, Kate and I have something very special that I want you to take with you on your journey!" and that's when he showed me a blue diamond that had a picture of himself attached to it.

"what, what is that Alex?"

"this here is a very special diamond that was used by my ancestors to communicate with each other when they were journeying far away from each other, this is such an ancient and old piece of magic to behold""

"then, how come you have it?"

"this diamond was passed on to me by my father, to my dad by his father and to him by his father and so on"

"why are you giving it to me then?"

"I'm giving this to you because... well, because you are a very special person in my life and I want to talk to you while you are away and make sure that you are safe and all right" he said. I looked at him, only to see that he was blushing a very bright pink in colour.

"but, but I don't think I deserve to have something this special!" I said as I avoided looking at him directly.

"what nonsense... of course you deserve to have this, you are the most wonderful and special person in my life and that's ever been in my life, so I insist that you keep this. If you don't, I take it as a sign that you don't trust me with this" as he showed the diamond in to my hand.

"tha... thank you for having so much trust in me"

"you're welcome, so whenever you want to talk to me just say my name aloud to the diamond and I will be there. Also if you see the diamond change colours that means that I want to talk to you, so if that happens just pick it up and you will see me, do you understand?"

"yes, Alex... I do and thanks again. I should probably get going now so see you later"

"good luck Kate and see you, be careful in the woods"

And I walked out of the throne room through the great big oak doors, I headed towards the stables where I met megan...
