ROYAL SORCERER FOR DAYS...

CHAPTER 7

The next morning, I woke up to the chilly morning wind and by the time I woke up pearl was already awake and by the look of it she had almost finished eating the patch of grass that was growing under the tree which was her breakfast.

I brushed my teeth with the tooth brush and the toothpaste that Megan had packed in my bag for me and put on a pretty comfortable saucerer outfit. I gave some water to pearl as we are going to head further in to the forest today to look for Alfred the saucerer who really messed up the kingdom, if it wasn't for him I would probably be in the castle right now and I wouldn't have had to set out into the woods all by myself. This was all because of him!

I pushed my thoughts aside and got on pearl ready to set out further in to the woods, I am really determined to find this Alfred right now and get rid of him once and for all!

Trot, gallop, gallop, trot...

I could see that pearl was starting to get worked up and that she was starting to get really tired, so I decided to give her a bit of a rest and get myself something to eat as I could literally hear my stomach rumbling and growling at me. But first, I should probably give pearl some water to drink considering that she literally carried me all the way in to the forest.

I walked towards my bag and picked up my water bottle from the bag and opened it, but when I peeked inside the bottle there was not a single drop of water left in my drink bottle. Ok, now I am starting to panic. I have heard that humans can last months without food but only days without water! Is me and pearl going to die of thirst? Okay, Kate time to use your tiny brain to think of something instead of panicking like a little kid.

'hmmm, what can I do?' I thought.

"of course Kate, that's it! Use the magic wand and see if you can make water appear magically!" I said to myself as intense happiness took over the panic.

I know I haven't used or done magic before, but I have watched Harry Potter and I decided to try using the spell 'Aguamenti' which makes water magically appear from the tip of your wand!

I reached out for my wand which was packed in my bag quite safely so that it won't snap in half, and then I took a deep breath to

hold myself steady while also trying to remain calm.

"Aguamenti" I cried from the top of my lung and hoped for a miracle to happen.

I felt something wet my feet only to see that there was a stream of water flowing out of the wand tip, it was wetting my feet because I was holding it in the wrong direction, I was pointing my wand towards my feet instead of pointing it towards the inside of my drink bottle, and that's exactly what I did afterwards.

I enjoyed watching my drink bottle getting filled with magic to be honest. I mean, who would not! It was just AMAAAZINGGG!

Now that I have got myself some water I should probably give pearl some water as well, I feel really sorry for having to make pearl go really long distances without having a nice, long break. So I walked over to pearl and gave her the cold and refreshing water.

Pearl made a unique yet strange noise of pleasure, she came closer to me and rubbed her head against my shoulder. Her warm skin felt really soft against my skin. It was as if she was trying to thank me for the water that I gave her.

"it's okay" I said to pearl gently while stroking her luscious, soft white main. She really was pretty.

Rumble... rumble... growl... I heard my stomach shout at me, I was hungry... so hungry that I was tempted to eat anything that I could find! I looked around searching for something I could eat like some sort of berries of any fruits but there doesn't seem to be any around here, so I decided to look around within about a metre. I walked towards my left only to see a big, green tree that I have already seen like a thousand times, so then I walked towards my right but I still could not see anything that I could eat, so I decided to look a little longer and I walked a bit more to my right, I was really beginning to feel exhausted.

There, I saw it a big, plump and round bush, which was filled with bumpy, sweet blackberries. The air was full of the sweet and sharp aroma of the blackberries. I was so happy that I jumped around for joy like an insane person. I picked as much black berries as I could fit into my bare hands and skipped all the way to pearl while throwing one or two berries into my mouth. The berries were really sweet and they tasted so good. They were amazing, so wonderful!

I tossed some black berries over to where pearl was resting and enjoyed watching my only friend gobble it up.

By the time we finished having lunch and had a little rest the sun was setting down and the woods was filled with the chilly wind making my hair stand on the edge.

I was feeling a little lonely as pearl was fast asleep and dozing off, so I decided to talk to Alex.

I picked up the diamond from the brown, shaggy looking bag and said "Alex, I want to talk to Alexander" suddenly I saw it turn a bright orange in colour and I heard Alex's voice say 'cannot talk right now, try again later'. I must admit that I was a little disappointed to hear this. But then again, he is the king so he probably does have more important stuff to do than just stare at a diamond all day just to see if it changes colour.
