Jess POV
Waking up to arms around your waist and cuddled into a chest my eyes opened and looked up to see a sleeping joe.
I wiggled out the embrace and quickly ran to the bathroom. From a distance I could hear a phone ringing and once I recognised it as my own phone number I ran towards the ringing which was on the kitchen table. The caller ID said it was my little sister who was 14.
Jess- "hello? Paige?" (Sisters name)
Paige- "JESS! Finally you answered! Why did you ever tell me you and Joe are official! " she practically screamed down the phone.
Jess-"calm down, so what me and joe are together?"
Paige-"you, my sister, is dating the one and only JOE SUGG!" She screamed making me move the phone away from my ear.
Paige- "anyway another reason I am ringing is that mum and dad told me to tell you to come home for a early Christmas if you aren't spending Christmas Day with us. You can bring joe too" I could practically see her smirking down the phone.
Jess- "Urn.. sure."
Paige- "great I carnt wait to see you and meet JOE SUGG, see you tonight"
Jess-"tonight...?"
Paige ended the call all of a sudden. tonight I was taking home my first proper official boyfriend home for a early Christmas, what was I thinking! 🙈😑I walked back into joes room to see him sat up on his phone scrolling through social media.
I sat down on the bed near his feet.
Jess- "Joeeeeee............."
Joe- "Jesssssss........"
Jess- "you totally don't have to agree to this but will you come to Brighton with me for a early Christmas with my family, you totally don't have to..."
I didn't get time to finish before joe came up behind me wrapping his arms around my shoulders and whispered "I would love too" and planted a kiss on my cheek.-------
Getting off the train from London to Brighton was a push as the train was packed however with first class tickets meant that we had seats.... yes seats!! I order a uber to collect us from outside the station and once we pulled up outside my childhood family house memory's kept rushing back.
Knocking on the door spent shivers down my back.
"Jess your home!" Shouted my sister Paige and jumped forward into a hug.
Paige- "come in come in!" Squealed Paige.
We walked to the dining room where everyone was sat. My parent shook hands with Joe and we all sat around the table. I sat opposite my mum and next to joe and my sister was the other side of joe opposite my dad and brother.
We ate the pre Christmas dinner, which was AMAZING!
My parents on the other hand was quizzing joe on his background and about him. Some of which was quite personal. When joe said he was a YouTube my parents looked lost and almost angry.
After the food we all went into the living room where we all sat and just relaxed however in the kitchen connected next door you could hear shouting which came from both my parents. The worst part of all I could hear mine and Joe's name repetitively being screamed about and that's pushed the line for me. Tears uncontrollably came flowing from my eyes at wouldn't stop. Joes arm wrapped around my shoulders bringing me down in a side way hug.
Jess- "joe I wanna go home"
And with that we both jumped up joes hand never leaving mine and we stormed out slamming the door behind us. Making sure everyone knew we had left.Joe POV
I hated seeing Jess in this way, tears wouldn't stop the whole journey back to London. Once in the apartment she lay on the sofa with her tear stained cheeks and puffy eyes. I made us some popcorn and drinks and snuggle into Jess on the sofa. We put on some films and that's how the night continued until our eyes could no longer stay open. I carried Jess bridal style to her room where I lay her down give her a baggy top to change into which she sleepily did and I cover her up in the warm sheets.
"Please stay" whispered Jess still with her eyes shut.
I took of my track suit bottoms and top and cuddle up to Jess keeping us both warm. What a day it had been!
