Ramin's POV
Ramin woke up that morning forgetting where he was for a moment. He thought he was still in Canada but remembered he was in Denver now.
He got out of bed as he got into some black jeans and a white tee shirt. He kinda tried to comb his hair but it failed and he got downstairs.
"Morning Ramin. We're gonna go shopping, so you're gonna have to eat later." His dad told him as he walked downstairs.
Ramin rolled his eyes and his mother gave him an evil eye, "Don't roll your eyes at him. We're doing our best. We just got here."
Shervin took out a sandwich out of a bag and started to eat it.
"Why does he get food?" Ramin objected noticing his brother eating.
"He was responsible and got himself some food for himself." His mom told him, "Try doing it sometime."
Ramin huffed as he got outside and sat under the tree where he talked to Sierra. He looked over at her yard to see it empty. He checked his phone and it was only 7:57, so she was probably still asleep.
It was early fall so there was a light breeze. It was still warm though. But nothing compared to Toronto. It was always freezing cold and you would always have to wear a jacket.
He stayed under the tree for a little bit longer until his parents came into the yard and saw him.
"Ramin Karimloo. Go inside this instant. You'll catch a cold." His mother ordered.
Ramin sighed as he got up and went inside. He watched out of the window as he saw his parents leaving. He waited for the right time as he grabbed three blankets and went to the tree again.
He placed one on the ground and laid against the tree. He put another one around him and had the last one waiting for when Sierra got out.
He took out his phone and decided to text her.
R-Hey. Sorry if you're still asleep when you read this. But you up?
S-Eating breakfast in bed. Like a champ. Why?
R-Check your window.
He saw Sierra look out and smile.
S-You hungry?
R-We have no food in the house. Of course I am.
S-I say we have a picnic.
Ramin put down his phone as he saw her rush over with a basket of food not too long later. He smiled.
"I brought a lot." She told him as he placed the basket down on the blanket. He passed her a blanket.
"Is this your way of a welcome present?" He asked as she nodded and pulled the blanket on.
"I'm a bit of a healthy girl. So there's no meat or tons of sugars and carbs in this basket." She told him proudly.
"You're a vegetarian?" He asked her.
"Yeah. But it's just me loving to eat healthy." She said.
Ramin opened the basket to see a fruit salad along with a couple yogurt containers. Lastly, there were two mugs with a thermos.
"I hope you like this stuff." Sierra told him a bit shy.
"It looks great! What's in the thermos?" He asked a bit suspicious about it.
"Green tea. Good for the throat. Especially when singing." She took it out and poured them both a cup.
"Well thanks." He took out one of the yogurt containers and a spoon and started to eat.
She nodded, "This is my way of saying welcome to your new home!"
Ramin chuckled as he continued to eat, "Well thanks again. It's really nice of you to do this for someone you barley know."
She nodded, "You're very welcome!"
They continued to laugh and talk...
"So you sing. Do you act at all?" Ramin asked.
"Yeah. I'm in the Drama Club." She told him, smiling.
"That's amazing. Yeah I love musicals. I saw Phantom when I was twelve and I loved it."
"Really? Phantom is one of my favorites. I dream of performing as Christine one day." She told him, dreamily.
"I really want to be the Phantom one day." He responded back as he took a sip of the green tea.
The same exact car that pulled in yesterday came into Sierra's house again. But this guy was too quick as he came out and saw both Ramin and Sierra together.
"Why the heck are you guys together?!" The guy yelled as he ran over.
"Tam, this is Ramin. My friend." She said the last part sternly.
Tam picked Ramin up by his collar and Ramin was hanging above the ground.
"Stop Tam! He's just a friend!" Sierra screeched and Tam threw Ramin on the ground.
"Fine." Tam said, "But Sierra is mine, got that?" Ramin slowly nodded and got up. Tam grabbed Sierra's arm tightly and pulled her into her house.
