Hadley and Ramin exchanged a confused glance as to who would start. Hadley fumbled to take his phone out to get an instrumental and lyrics to the song of his choice. Ramin quickly responded to this and grabbed his speaker for Hadley to connect his phone to. Once Ramin returned, Hadley knew he volenteered himself to go first.

Setting his feet on the ground, and Rosalind and Sierra gave him the thumbs up after Sierra quickly made them both judge sheets, Hadley began to sing.

Ramin instantly recognized the song to be "Pure Imagination". It was a soft, but sweet voice that instantly hit Ramin's heart as Hadley's voice rang throughout the house. He hadn't heard a voice that took your breath away like Hadley's, and Ramin felt like he had automatically lost.

The song continued, and Rosalind and Sierra were shocked to hear the voice soaring. The way he sang made them drop their pens and just watch the performance in front of them. Ramin, still not knowing what to sing, didn't care about finding a song. He was too invested in the music in front of him.

As Hadley sang his last note, the girls, Ramin included, applauded him. Hadley took a cocky bow and chuckled like it was an "all natural" thing he had produced. It was finally Ramin's turn, and he still had no idea what to sing.

Upon further thinking and Rosalind and Sierra frantically scribbling on their sheets, Ramin ran up to his room to grab something essential to his performance.

"Where is he going?" Hadley asked as he watched his friend bolt upstairs, "Too scared to face me after hearing that?"

Ramin ran back down with his guitar. He felt like an instrumental took away from the real performance. Grabbing a stool and sitting down, he felt ready. He finally knew what to sing.

Sierra quickly made two more judge sheets for Ramin's performance. Giving him the Okay to start, Ramin started to gently stroke the cords.

"Dancing bears.. painted wings.." he started, singing with a soft, angelic voice as his hands only barley touched the strings, "Things I almost.. remember.." his voice only softly filled the house, but it made everyone stop whatever they were doing. Hadley, who was cockily brushing through his hair, stopped. Rosaline, Who was tapping her pen on the table, stopped. And Sierra. The young girl who was eating a bowl of strawberries, didn't care for them anymore as she was so emerged with the man standing in front of her. For his version of "Once Upon a December" wasn't like anything she had heard before.

Ramin continued on with more heart, "And a song someone sings... Once upon a December." He sang on, getting more into the song. He tried to remember  his life that he had back in Canada. How he felt like he needed to remember his old girlfriend, name not even coming back to memory anymore. He wasn't even in America for that long. His friends now, even though so few, made him forget the Canadian boy he once was. Those cold December nights in Canada were long forgotten at this point, and there was no way he could remember what it was like anymore. The Denver winters, the brisk fall, his teachers, Hadley, Rosaline, Sierra. Those are the only things he was used to.

He finished the song. He conveyed his message of the lost for memories to everyone he had once been aquantied with. Everyone cheered, even his older brother, yet very annoying to say the least. Hadley had lost that battle, and he knew it. Nothing could change his mind away from that fact.

Rosalind and Sierra asked for Ramin and Hadley to leave the room while they talleyed the votes. "They were both amazing," Rosaline started, "Ramin seemed as if he had related to the song more than Hadley had with his." Sierra nodded in agreement.

"I also give brownie points for the guitar playing." Sierra added, scribbling smiley faces on her paper.

It took Rosaline and Sierra about ten minutes to have their discussion, while Hadley and Ramin talked about things that didn't even relate to the competition. Hadley went on and on about Sierra's vegan diet that he hated, he kept asking why Ramin's older brother was so angsty, and why Ramin doesn't have any pets.

Soon enough, Sierra and Rosaline told them to come back in, and they were seated on the black leather sofa in front of the judge table. "The winner..." Sierra started, "Hold on, I want some water." And Sierra stood up and went to the kitchen to grab a bottle of water.

Hadley and Ramin both let out heavy sighs of anger as they had to wait even longer because of Sierra's need to rehydrate herself. Once she returned, they knew it was going to happen.

"The winner is Ramin!" Rosaline shouted with excitement. Ramin, on the other hand, didn't even realize what she said. He turned to Hadley sadly, as he thought he had lost.

Ramin froze, "W-Wait. I won? But I didn't even have an instrumental, his song was way better!" He refuted quickly. The girls, and even Hadley, laughed at this.

"Dont be ridiculous, Ramin! For one, the guitar gave you more points because you could even play! And that's sexy, I know the girls dig that." Hadley stated, "But once I heard you sing, I knew I'd been beat. Sure, you singing "I Dreamed A Dream" was deep, and we could tell you connected with that song, but this one was different."

Hadley was right. "I Dreamed A Dream" was relateable to him due to the fact that he felt that moving away ruined his life to be with Mandy and everyone else back at home, but "Once Upon A December". That had a different meaning to him. He felt as if he was trying to remember how it was back at home. He wanted to remember, but a part of him wanted to focus on his life in Denver with his friends.

Hadley had no specific reason for his song, except for the fact that he was, indeed, last looking at pictures of chocolate, which make him think of "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory", So he sang that. As stupid as the reason it was, it still sounded beautiful to everyone, so Rosaline promised she'd buy him dinner, and the both left shorty afterwards. Now, only left Sierra and Ramin to sit on his couch.

"Ramin," Sierra said softly, "I really can't wait to audition for Phantom of the Opera."

Ramin laughed and smiled, but thought she was going to confess her love to him, "Yeah, me too! You still have to help me though."

"Oh that's right! Alright! Let's go to your room to do this stuff!" And they went upstairs to do some work.
