That night, Ramin paced his room, thinking of a song to audition with for Phantom of the Opera. Every song that seemed to cross his mind, or what he found on the Internet, was not a perfect fit for him. He wanted a song he could connect with.
Thinking of ideas, he decided he would just write his own. He picked up his guitar and started to play a few chords he could use for his song. After strumming for an hour, he decided to put some lyrics to it.
(GUESS THAT SONG WITH ERIKPHANTOM!! GUESS WHAT SONG BY RAMIN IT WILL BE CREATING??)
It was a soft melody that he had strung, so he thought about what lyrics to put with it. He paced his room for a half an hour, thinking about what to sing about. Giving up, he laid down on his bed and looked at his bedside table. Sitting on the top of it was a lamp and a small picture of him and his girlfriend, Mandy.
Mandy, his old girlfriend. He had forgotten about her ever since he met Sierra, Hadley, and Rosaline. He recalled the days, looked back on all those times they had spent together in Canada. The countless dates, movies watched together, and memories shared. Although it wasn't that long ago, he still forgot about her. The picture made him regain all of his memories once again.
One memory that stuck out in his mind was the night they met. They both went to a school dance, barley knowing who each other were. Ramin was a shy kid at school, and Mandy was just the opposite. She was popular, had many friends, and sang as leads in multiple school musicals. At the day of the dance, she saw him and decided to dance with him. They had a great time, and he got to know some of her close friends as well. Later that evening, they went to his house and talked for what seemed like hours. They had so much in common. And in the morning light, they found love.
Their relationship was like a movie. They did everything together and never seemed to be apart from each other. It was a dream that went away that morning when Ramin told her he was leaving.
Ramin checked his phone. Of course, he forgotten to check to see if he had texted her. She hadn't.
He checked her Instagram to see if she posted anything. Of course, she had. She posted a picture of the drama club students after they performed Les Mis, Mandy had played Eponine. He looked through the cast and noticed all of his old friends. He thought for a moment who he would've been casted as, but he was stuck between Enjolras, Marius, and Jean Valjean.
As he continued to look through the photos, she had taken pictures with her friends and one picture with her room packed up. The description read, "Moving out to be with him again #Moving #Lovehim"
Ramin read it multiple times over and couldn't believe what he read. Was Mandy moving? Certainly, she could've meant someone else. Possibly a family member who lived somewhere else? It didn't matter, he had work to do.
He took out his notebook and wrote down lyrics. Once his clock reached 12, he felt like he was done. He pulled out his guitar and sang his song. It was perfect. It was ready for his audition.
That next morning arrived and Ramin just so happened to wake up late. Sierra called him while she was waiting outside of his house with her car, "Where are you?" She asked when he answered.
Groggily, he responded, "A-ah.. I just woke up, I'll be there in a second!" Ramin hung up and quickly threw on a white tee shirt and jeans and ran out the door.
He met Sierra outside and got in, an obvious mess. He still looked tired and his hair was in all directions.
"Someone decided to sleep in." Sierra Sing when he arrived, "You definitely don't look ready for auditions, either."
Ramin laughed at her statement and started rapidly running his hand through his hair. Sierra passed him a bottle of water and Ramin put some in his hair to make it look more presentable.
Sierra laughed and pulled out a gray and white jacket out of her backseat and threw it at Ramin while she was driving. Ramin freaked out, but put it on anyway. It was small, but still fit him.
Soon later, they pulled into the school and they went to their first classes. Ramin's classes were basically similar to how they were the day before, but more nerve racking because he had auditions after school.
Once auditions rolled around, him and Sierra were practicing their monologues and presence for what would occur very soon.
Their director took a group of three at a time to go on the stage to preform their monologues and songs. Afterwards, they were free to leave. Ramin was scared he was going to be put into a group of people he did not know.
The director called a few names out and the big crowd of people started to decrease. An hour later, another face came into the room that everyone waited in, Hadley. He was late.
"Hey!" He yelled when walking over to Sierra and Ramin, "Woah you look rough." He noted when looking at Ramin and passed him a better button up shirt in his backpack.
Ramin started undressing and revealed his abs and girls in the class shrieked with excitement, Sierra included. Ramin blushes deeply and started buttoning his shirt quickly, but failed because his hands were shaking from the pressure.
He tucked in the shirt, and his name was called along with Sierra and Hadley, "Got here right on time." Hadley said with a smile.
They walked into the auditorium and they stood in a line. Sierra went first and did her monologue along with "Part of Your World". Her song was beautiful and she sounded like an angel.
Hadley was next and did his monologue and his own song "Just Let Go". His voice was soft and he was a really amazing performer.
But once they finished, it was Ramin's turn and he preformed his monologue, but now it was his turn to sing his song. Because he didn't have a track to sing with, be just sang without it. He took a deep breath and was ready to start.
"What will you be singing?" The director asked.
Ramin stood confidently, "A song I made based on my life."
The director gave him a disgusted look, but was ready to hear him, after all Hadley did the same, and was great, "Go ahead." She said, "Show me what you've got."
