"Fuck this!" i yelled. "Get your ass out of hiding and face me!" I can't remember when I got here, I've been wandering this forest forever and I was getting tired of this shit. He was just pressing my buttons hoping I loose my mind.

"I knew you'd get annoyed sooner or later," Zeus' voice asked. I spun around and he stood there. He had changed his clothes since then- a new suit for a new day- I think.

"What the hell do you want?" i snapped. I was dirty and sweaty and bleeding from multiple scraps and cuts. It's been hell- i should know after all.

"Tell me where she is," he said taking a step towards me a twig breaking underfoot. "I want her, we are not having a rehash of Persephone."

"She is already marked!" I threw my hands up with a sigh. "My mark not yours not Poseidon's mine! I saved her from herself! I brought her here! Not you! She is mine first! Then she gets the choice!"

"Let her choose her own fate!" he snapped at me, lightning cracking in the sky.

"That is not how this works! She doesn't even know why she was chosen!"

"Oh you have gone soft my brother," he laughed at me. "I will find her."

"You have no idea where she is, you need me to find her." He glared at me and I knew I was correct. I smirked and wiped the sweat from my brow. "That's why you came back to speak with me."

"Where is she and this can all be over."

I chuckled at him shaking my head a smirk on my lips. "Give me two days and then she can make the decision on who she chooses to be with."

"Why should I?"

"Because without me you will never find her." He stared me down, and I didn't flinch away. I could kill him right now, he wanted to hurt Emerson and that was not something easily forgiven.

"Two days?" Zeus asked after a moment of silence. I nodded silently. "I'll be back." He snapped his fingers and I was back in my office; Zeus no where to be found. Dieter jumped back when I appeared clutching at his chest.

"Where is she?" Dieter asked me realizing I was alone.

"Walking the Underworld," i said before breaking into a sprint. I raced down the hallways heading straight for the door. I didn't care about what I looked liked, the holes in my clothes and blood that covered me, the dirt smeared across my face, all I cared about was making sure she was okay.

Emerson's POV

I didn't know what to expect anymore- I've gone through four death scene's and two pieces of heaven. It was a hit or miss here, every time you stepped into a light it was a chance. But I took it each and every time.

I opened my eyes slowly. I was at a camp ground with picnic tables and two big tents set up and a fire pit surrounded by chairs. There were different paths all around and trees as tall as the sky.

I know this place.

"Emerson!" a voice called and my heart stopped. I turned and watched as my mom came walking towards me. She looked the same as ever, tears forming in my eyes.

"Look at you," she smiled taking my hands in hers. She felt real, warm and loving. I missed her so much. "You're a mess."

"I always am," i found myself saying. I remember this conversation; it was three days before their crash, before my life changed forever. This was our annual camping trip.

"Look at her," my mom laughed looking over my shoulder. My dad came over, tall and strong, a slight stubble on his face.

"Oh my," he laughed. His laugh brought tears to my eyes. I felt like my heart was being broken all over again.
