Finals

The next morning she awoke. Alone in her bed. She felt the spot where Itachi had been. It's was still warm. She smiled and got up. She showered a long hot shower to calm her nerves. After finishing that, she changed. Her outfit was the same as everyday. "Chunin exams here I come." she said to herself taking out her hair tie.

She made her way to the arena. On the streets there was talk of bets against Naruto and bets on Mizu winning. She kept her hands in her pockets and her head down with long red locks falling forward.

She arrived at the arena last among the others. Sasuke was not there though. Mizu's match would be third. Ino came over to Mizu and sat down in front of her. "Hey Mizu?" she asked. "What?" Mizu said bored . "Umm I was just hoping you could take it easy on me?" Ino was begging. "Hmph. This challenge is meant for us to demonstrate our power and knowledge. So I can assure that going easy won't be happening. Although I like to play with my food." she grinned. She was only joking of course. Ino was on Shikamaru's team and she would not hurt her that bad.

The matches started and Mizu watched with the others.

Naruto had one his match

After that Mizu had no particular. interest in the matches and when it was time for her match she and Ino walked down to the arena.

"Ino?" she continued to look forward. "Yeah?" She was curious. "Don't worry about me hurting you badly. Yes I will be tough but there's a slim chance I will injure you enough for a hospital stay more than a week." Ino felt relief and then scared again. She gulped and nodded. They reached the arena and took their places.

The Procter yelled "BEGIN!"

Instantly Ino pulled out three kunai and threw them at Mizu. Swiftly and easily Mizu side stepped catching one and throwing it towards Ino. She blocked with another kunai and threw out four shruriken. Easily Mizu blocked. Ino ran at her and they entered tai jutsu. She punched towards Mizu's face but she caught it. She threw Ino over her head and kicked her in the ribs sending her flying at a wall. She landed just before it.

Ino leant on one knee and wiped blood from her mouth. A cut above her right eyes bleed obscuring her vision. She took out a kunai and stuck it in the ground next to her left side. Mizu narrowed her eyes as Ino began to run around her in a circle. She studied the knife and realized it but it was to late.

Wires from each kunai closed around Mizu halting her movement. Ino dropped to her knees ten feet in front of Mizu. With the necessarily hand sign she placed her hands in front of her. "I don't recommend that." Mizu stated flatly. "You wont like what you see if you can get that far." she continued. Ino didn't listen. "Mind transfer jutsu!" she cried before her body went limp and Mizu's head shot back.

People in the crowd started talking asking if she got her.

"I told you it wasn't a good idea." Mizu lifted her head. She gripped a wire and pulled it out of the ground loosening the wires that held her. "Proctor! This match is finished." he nodded.

"The winner. "Mizu o Senshi!"

The crowd roared. A medic team came out to retrieve Ino. She walked over to her on the gurney as her eyes opened. "Sorry that you'll be in the hospital a little over a week. But I warned you." Ino then screamed in agony and pain clutching her head. Mizu looked away as the medic team rushed out. She looked up at the Hokage. He was smiling and nodded in approval.
