"How about we go to breakfast in the morning?" Wyatt asked me. "Like how?" I asked him. "Just as friends." He replied.

I walked to Roper's stall and clipped his lead on. Then took him for his bath. One by one I bathed my horses. They got their hooves cleaned and new shoes put on.

I brushed their coats and put their fly blankets on. Then gave them water and food. Ryan popped his head into Dawson's stall as I was giving him water.

"Tired of Ray yet?" He asked. "Nope. And it seems like you regret leaving. Because you are crawling back to me even when I don't need you." I told him. He smirked.

"Oh sweetheart. I don't need you I'm just bragging on how much better my header is than you." He smirked. "Then you wouldn't be bragging either. You would be working on that rope and horse of yours because my horse is better than yours." I said locking the stall door.

Then walking to my truck. I got a few things out and took them to the living quarters. Once everything was set I loaded up my saddles and bridles in the back of my truck and drove up to get my boys ready.

I saddled just the ones I was competing with tonight. "Ready for tonight?" Wyatt asked. "Yup. I just gotta finish with this girth and I'm good to go." I replied.

I finished tightening Dawson's girth strap and led him out. He's the fastest of the four so he's my top barrel horse. I mounted onto his back and warmed him up.

I was first out tonight with barrels so this should be fun! Once barrel racing was called I rode him over to the alleyway. I lined up ready to go. Dawson pawed at the ground and sidestepped.

I nodded and urged Dawson forwards. He jumped to the start and ran for the first. We soared around the first then onto the second. He came a little too close that time making it rock.

Then on the last I swung my leg back missing the barrel before my leg could hit it. Once he was around it I put my leg back over. He bolted giving me little time. He was trained to bolt for the alleyway once around the last barrel.

Best part is I only have to steer him. Once back I cooked him off and went to get Luis. I warmed him up and went to wait. I watched Wyatt ride bulls then it was time for steer wrestling.

He was on his horse waiting for me. Chaps and all. I took a deep breath and rode Lu into the ring once it was my turn. The steer was released and I dove for it. I stopped using my heels and flipped it into its side.

Once I was out I noticed Wyatt go right through Rylin and some cowboy. The guy got ticked until he realized who it was. He walked in my direction as Wyatt helped his cousin onto the back of his horse.

I rode Luis back to the stalls and dismounted. He snorted as I took the bridle off. His halterless head free of anything. I patted his shoulder and he walked in calmly.

I gave him and the other three water and hay for the night. Then walked to my trailer. That same cowboy was leaning against my trailer as I approached.

He turned his head to face me. "Rob Diaz I should have known." I yelled. He smirked coming up to me. Son of Mikael and Miranda Diaz. Brother of horse trainer Kelly Diaz.

"What's up Smith?" He asked. "Who was that, that Wyatt got so scorned over me kissing?" He added. "Not much and that was his cousin. I wouldn't test his patience when you talk about her." I warned.

He nodded looking around. "Listen Jase is on my tail, looking for me." He said quickly. "Think I can hide out tonight under your couch?" He asked. That was the phrase signaling that it was bad.

"Inside." I told him as I unlocked the door. He followed me in and locked the door behind him. "What did you do this time?" I asked him. "Let's just say that girl of his tried to jump my, and then went and lied to him about me trying to get in her pants." He answered.

"Dude almost every cowboy here knows your a virgin still." I told him. "Doesn't mean anything to Jase Hunter." He told me, looking out. I stood behind him as Jase came into view.

He walked towards Rob's trailer and looked inside. Then marched over to mine. Rob back off and ran to my room hiding in a cabinet. Jase pounded on the door.

I unlocked the outside door so he still couldn't come in. "What do you want Jase?" I asked. "All I want is Diaz's balls." He told me. I lowered my voice so only Jase could hear.

"His are microscopic. It would be impossible for you to get them. But your girl thinks she has yours in that giant purse of her's. Because I know she's been screwing every cowboy here and then tells you differently." I told him.

Giggling made him look behind him. There was his girl walking with one of the older cowboys that will never get married. He had a scowl on his face. He left for his trailer and never thought twice.

I hated being right about that, but he's going to find a girl that will love him and never go against him. I closed the door and told Rob not to worry about losing anything. He came out of hiding and looked at me.

"He saw the truth and it did hurt him." I told him. "I can't wait for him to find a girl that loves him." He told me. I nodded. "I was thinking the same thing." I replied.
