Enoch's POV

I have always prefered the night and the dark. But one persom can bring me out of it. It's Elaine. She came about a month ago. She came to me one day asking why I was sad. I told her what I tell everyone else. Then she asked if I could show her my peculiarity. I let her see my homunculi and then we fought them. It was very enjoyable. She actually drew a few laughs out of me.

Then I realized as she grinned at me when she won, that I love her.

Elaine's POV

As our hands brush an electricity buzzes through me. It hits me. I have feelings for him. His face and high cheekbones, transfix me, leaving me breathless.

Next day.

I go up to Enoch's room again. We have a few more homunculi battles before Enoch looks up at me and I get lost in his brown eyes. Then his hand reaches up behind my neck pulling me into him. Then he kisses me gently. Suddenly I relaxed a tense I didn't know was there. My hands travel through his hair stroking it. I kiss him back as I pull him closer. His arm wraps around my waist.

Enoch's POV

She pulls me closer and my hand rubs up and down her back. Finally we let go, grasping the air. She lays her head on my shoulder, hugging me. This feels so right. I could live in this moment forever. We sway from side to side. She sighs.

"I love you, Enoch," she breathes "I hope I can make you happy,"

"Elaine, you will always make me happy because I will never stop loving you," He whispers, his lips brushing my neck.

We give each another embrace before we settle down and continue to fight with his clay figures.

And like that she pulled me out of the dark. Forever.
