A/n This one was requested by onepeculiarchild. Thank you so much. Honestly, this fanfic wouldn't be up and running, if it weren't for them. This will another about Jack Bentham (Miss Peregrine's brother) abusing her 😭. Therefor this will not be continuing off the last one I wrote on this topic as in that one Jack was seperated from Miss Peregrine.
Miss Peregrine's POV
"Why do you get to do training for 'ymbrynes' HMMM?! Tell me!" He whisper-shouts into my ear, before thrusting me up off the floor and into the adjacent wall.
He has to be quiet or Miss Avocet will send him away. Tears roll down my face.
"You weak, spoiled brat!" He spits, flecking my face with saliva. I start to get up but he kicks me in the stomach, causing me to splutter and cough. I clutch for air but it doesn't come. But one thing does. A hard blow to the head.
Usually he only hits me in places that can be covered by clothes. So a fist to the side of my head is very strange. He is letting his anger get the better of him.
Immediately, my vision starts clouding over, but I fight the dizziness. Straightening up, he stamps his foot into my ankle, before furning and walking put the door. He locks the door behind him. Unfortunately for me, the doors can only be locked from the outside, which is ridiculous. My ankle throbs and I can not walk on it. Somehow I manage to drag myself over to the bed where I haul myself up and collapse into it's warmth and softness.
Elany's brother, Drew, comes into the room. His dirty blonde hair gets in his blue eyes as he talks to me until I wake.
I stare into his eyes, questioning why he would help me, as he carrys me towards Miss Avocet's quarters.
"Thank you," I whisper as he looks for our beloved ymbryne.
"Anything for a friend," he replies with a smile before continuing to scour the house.
In his arms I fall unconscious again. My head is pounding and I can feel the blood throughout my long hair. Finally another charge tells him that Miss Avocet is not here. He walks gently up to his room, laying me on his cosy bed.
He cleans my wounds and bandaging my ankle but he doesn't touch my head. I suppose he doesn't know what to do with it.
Finally as Miss Avocet arrives, he rushes to fetch her.
"Miss, I tried to help her, I did but I didn't know what to do," Drew says frantically.
"Drew, you did magnificently, thank you, my dear," she reassures him. After they deal with the head wound, they come to my ankle. I flinch each time it is touched, clutching the sheets and tensing.
They tightly bandage it up, with a small slint inside. She asks Drew to take me back to my room. Miss Avocet follows along. She begins questioning me. I tell her I tripped and landed on my ankle hitting my head, where I fell asleep on the hardwood boards. Then I woke up and dragged myself to bed, where Drew found me. Broken and battered, I take a week off training, studying in bed. After that, I able to walk on it. No it is not healed, but it doesnt hurt too much.
Many years later
And since then I have had a slight limp. All because of Jack.
A/n This actually happened to me, when I broke my ankle I left it a week I was then able to walk on it. Everyone else told me not to. But I was not walking around with crutches for 2 months. I managed to get my time with the "supposed crutches" cut down to a month. Nevertheless, I didn't use them in 3 weeks I was supposed to before then. I do not limp around. It has fully healed. Although I walked on it for the majority of the healing time.
onepeculiarchild has been a fantastic help. Thanks.
Peace out
