“Ready to go?” Papyrus asked Napstablook as he walked inside.
“Oh, yeah! Just, give me a sec!” Napstablook called from the kitchen.
“Okay, Blooky, this is it! You've got this. Just be yourself and you can't fail,” Mettaton said and fixed Napstablook’s bow tie. “I'm so proud of you, darling!”
Mettaton squealed and hugged Napstablook tightly.
“Mettaton,” Napstablook groaned.
“Sorry, have fun with Papy.” Mettaton released his hug.
“Thanks.” Napstablook straightened his bow tie again. He gave Mettaton a quick side hug and hurried to the living room to meet up with Papyrus.
“Ah, there you are,” Papyrus said with a heartwarming smile. “You look amazing.”
“Thank you, Papyrus,” Napstablook blushed. “You look great too.”
“Nyeh, thanks. Come on.”
Papyrus grabbed Napstablook’s hand and led him outside.
“So, uh...what's planned?”
“Well, what do you wanna do?” Papyrus asked.
“Uh...how about we go to a restaurant? I heard the new Grillby’s is pretty good. Wanna try it out?” Napstablook asked.
“Sure...and after that we could go to my place and watch a movie or something,” Papyrus shrugged.
“Sounds cool.”
So Papyrus and Napstablook walked over to Grillby’s, since it wasn't that far of a walk. The whole walk, they spent holding hands and talking about each other.
Soon the two made it to the restaurant. Papyrus opened the door for Napstablook.
“Where do you wanna sit? Booth or barstools?” Papyrus asked.
“Let's eat at the bar. I've always wanted to,” Napstablook smiled a little.
“Okay.”
Papyrus and Napstablook made their way over to the bar.
“Hello, Grillby,” Papyrus greeted.
“.................oh, hello, Papyrus. I didn't expect to see you here. Greetings, stranger,” Grillby greeted cheerily, but it seemed a little fake.
“Hi, Grillby, it's me, Napstablook,” the blue robot giggled.
“No way…...you went corporeal?”
“Yeah.”
“Congratulations.”
“Thank you.”
“So, what would you like to order?”
“I'll take a burger and a milkshake please,” Papyrus ordered.
“And I'd like some fries and a water,” Napstablook said.
“I'll return shortly,” Grillby stated with a shift of his glasses.
The fire monster hurried to the back.
“Does he seem...upset about something?” Napstablook asked Papyrus.
“Nyeh? Hmm...I don't know,” Papyrus shrugged.
“I think something’s bugging him.”
“How do you know?”
“I can always tell when someone seems down.”
Grillby returned shortly with the food.
“Burger, fries, milkshake,” Grillby placed the food and drink on the bar. “Your w-water should be out shortly.”
