Chapter 19: How Soriel happened

While you and Mettaton were on your honeymoon, Frisk was staying at Toriel’s.

“Come on, Frisk, time for school!” Toriel called and Frisk ran down the stairs ready to go.

Toriel drove Frisk to school. As they were walking up to the doors, Sans ran up to catch up with them.

“heya, tori! kiddo,” he greeted.

“Sans!” Frisk cheered and hugged the skeleton.

“Good morning, my funny bone,” Toriel smiled. “How are you today?”

“i’m doing pretty good, how are you?” he asked shyly.

“I am doing well.”

Frisk smirked and whispered something in Sans’ ear hole (?). Sans started blushing profusely.

“Frisk? What are you saying to Sans?” Toriel asked concerned.

“nothing! uh, nothing at all, heh,” Sans started sweating.

“I'll meet you guys inside. Sans, you can ask her, don't be shy,” Frisk said and skipped into the school building.

“Sans, what is he talking about?” Toriel raised an eyebrow.

“uh, tori, do you maybe, i dunno, wanna go out for coffee sometime?” he asked, blushing profusely.

“Sans...I would love to! Meet me in the lobby at lunch!” Toriel rejoiced and hugged the short skeleton.

She had been waiting for Sans to ask her out for ages.

The skeleton blushed as he began to walk into the school building. "see you at lunch, tori."

Lunch came quicker than expected and Sans was already in the lobby, silently freaking out. Then Toriel came out to the lobby.

"Hello, Sans, ready to go?" Toriel asked with a kind smile.

"oh, uh, yeah. let's go. i think grillby started selling coffee at his new place."

"Oh, okay. Let's get going. We only have a half hour."

Sans grabbed Toriel’s hand and led her out the door. Using a shortcut, they arrived at the restaurant in under two minutes.

"Traveling with you is super fast," Toriel commented.

"what can i say? me and speed are like best friends," Sans winked and opened the door for Toriel.

The two sat at the bar, since all of the booths were taken. Grillby walked up to the two of them.

"heya, grillbz," Sans greeted. "we'll take two coffees, if you sell them."

Grillby nodded and left to the back to get our coffees. In the meantime, Sans and Toriel chatted, joked, laughed, and overall enjoyed each other's company.

When Grillby returned, they thanked him and sipped the coffee.

"wow, this coffee is amazing," Sans commented.

"Yeah, it is," Toriel agreed.

After they finished the coffee, they left, Sans putting it on his tab. They still had fifteen minutes left until lunch was over, so they decided to walk back to the school.

"This was fun, Sans. Thank you for taking me out," Toriel smiled and planted a kiss on his skull.

"uh...um, it was n-no trouble, heh heh. i had a good time too," Sans stammered as his whole face turned blue.

"We should do this again sometime.

"yeah, i agree," Sans smiled.
