Chapter 2: The Police Station
They had to take mom out the hard way and we were separated by police cars. It was a silent ride and when we got to the police station and in a office, a female came in. "Hello, my name is officer Tracy and I'll be asking you some questions." She smiled kindly and I returned it with a smile as well. "Okay, my names Vivian and I would be happy to answer some questions." To be honest, I wasn't happy at all. I was sad, angry, hurt, almost any emotion that has to do with unhappy, described me now. "But I sill love her and I always will" I told her. "Oh, of course! But now, do you mind if I now ask some questions?" I nodded. "Okay, so, have you ever seen your mother with any drugs or alcohol?" Officer Tracy asked and I shook my head. "No, not at all."
"Have you ever seen the things that she had anywhere?"
"No." I truthfully told her. "I see..." She wrote down what I said and continued the questions for about 20 minutes and then we were done. She lead me back to the main entrance and I was sat in a chair in front of a desk. And to be completely honest, I kinda had this coming. No wonder I had all that paranoia. But some of the feeling is still there though.
When they asked questions again, I answered them politely and once my mom walked in, I started crying out of sadness and anger. I mean, I loved her. She was my everything! But now, I was being taken from her because of the mistakes she made. Well, not really mistakes. More like choices. But, I somehow feel like it's my fault and I don't know why. I said in my brain. "Do you have any last words to say to your daughter before we send you Ms. Richards?" Officer Donavan asked. "Sweetie, I'm so so SO sorry that this happened. Please, if we never see each other again, please remember me...I love you...and be good for your..........new 'parents'." Mom sobbed and I only cried harder. They then took her away and she wasn't seen by me again.
