The remainder of the afternoon trickled by slowly. Kairi was quickly removed, Tifa called the mall security and they weren't too thrilled about the fact that a minor was attempting to buy alcohol. You were surprised to learn from Tifa that Kairi was two years younger than you.
It was odd, the memory though... you could've sworn the two of you were ya know the same age.
At four in the afternoon there were three new staff members that wandered in. You hadn't expected the fact that only you and Demyx worked for half the day. Tifa explained that the mall didn't have many restaurants or bars, so they were allowed to be open later than other stores. Thus they had a morning shift group and then a evening-late night.
You thanked Tifa for the chance, you were even more surprised when the woman told you that she would be figuring out a schedule and let you know hours.
While getting what little things that you brought with you together to the mall, you were surprised to find that Demyx had laid his hand across your upper back. His music blasting from his headphones was all instrumental compositions. You hadn't been expecting that.
"You're leaving without a meal?" His voice was full of concern, another thing that you weren't expecting from the mullet man. There was something tickling you, figuratively of course. He was so sweet and caring, like so many others though, he was familiar in a way that you couldn't quite place.
Shrugging your shoulder, there wasn't really a thought about eating. You didn't feel like you had to eat. Hell, it was extremely weird with the idea that you didn't have to eat. Without eating or needing to drink, there was no need to use the restroom.
The hell was wrong with you?
You gave Demyx an unsure smile. "I guess? I was just.. Going to go home?" There was an idea of actually getting a hold of Zack.
Demyx's grin expanded as he shook his head. "[Name] first rule about working in a restaurant or bar; take the free food." That silly goofy look on his face made you smile, unable to feel awkward or anything around him.
You followed him as he wandered over to the end of the bar, planting himself on one of the stools. You sat to his right.
You looked at the waitress that had came to relieve you from your shift. She was very pretty in your opinion, long brown hair that had a pink ribbon weaving in and out of the braid in her hair. She had bright green eyes. Like you, she was wearing all black, the only colour on her being her eyes and the pink ribbon. You caught her name sa Aerith.
Meanwhile there was someone even louder than your foster sister, Yuffie who was on behind the bar with Tifa. An excited young woman who never seemed like that she could sit still if it were possible. She had short black hair with hazel eyes. She did have a green bandana that kept her short hair out of her face.
Then there was the cook that relieved Demyx was a little younger than you, but old enough to be out of high school. Sora, or that's what he was trying to yell at you before he became swarmed with orders from Tifa. Sora was definitely taller than you, but shorter than Demyx. It took you a while to realize that the blond mullet cook was probably six something.
"Hiya Demmy! [Nickname]!" Yuffie bounced over toward you guys, a grin from ear to ear. "How was your first day?" The question was obviously directed toward you. Sheepishly you smiled. "It was decent.. Right Demyx?"
Demyx was pouting ever since Yuffie called him Demmy, he wasn't one for nicknames especially for that kind of one. He relaxed more when you directed your voice towards him. "Yeah, not bad at all. You did better than when Yuffie was originally waitressing."
