Josh's POV
"What do you mean this isn't going to work? How is this not going to work?" I mutter, looking towards Simon.
"It's not going to work. It's too risky. We may as well just-"
"Simon.. Love.. If we are in this place, we have to work for the warden for something we don't even want. We can't be intimate like we want to be, neither can any of them. We need to get out of here and live our lives." I explain, feeling slightly agitated that he did not agree with me.
"This is not flawless. We need flawless. They are not going to kill anyone if they have to. They are not going to be able to hold of people. You can not expect them to even hold a gun, its too risky. It is too dangerous, one of us, or the baby, is going to get hurt." Simon grunts, and I scoff.
"Why are you disagreeing with this? Don't you want to leave?" I shake my head, and he snorts.
"Is that even a question Josh? Of course I want to leave, of course I want to live a life with you... But this is not flawless. This is not going to work." He grabs my hands, shifting his face forward to mine, his eyes piercing into mine.
"Can we try?" I whisper, and he sighs.
"I dunno, Josh." He drops my hands, stepping back.
I purse my lips together, biting my bottom lip. Tears slowly burn my eyes, but I blink the tears away.
I sigh, standing up and excusing myself with a small murmur. I round the corner of the bookshelf, before I stop dead in my tracks.
Amasa, the oldest patient here, was peering directly into my eyes, his whole body shaking.
"I-I heard ev-everything."

Simon's POV
I lean against my wrists as Josh walks out, feeling my racing heart slowly die down. This plan wasn't going to work. Of course I wanted to support Josh, but this wasn't the plan that was going to allow us to escape. We need more time.
Suddenly, Josh's voice booms through the library.
"No! Please! Stop please I'll do anything! Don't!" My eyes flash to everyone in the group, before I quickly push myself up and run down towards the bookshelf.
I round the corner, watching as Josh's legs round the far corner opposite of me. I pick up my legs, running with ease towards the boy, my heart pounding with worry and concern for the boy.
I round the corner, Josh's screaming coming to a halt as he drops to his knees, his hands pulling at his hair, his body curled into a ball, his body trembling unbelievably.
"T-Tobi!" I screech, running to the boy.
"Don't touch him!" He exasperates, the chocolate-skinned boy soon kneeling next to me.
Tobi's arm crosses my chest, and he begins to push my body backwards, but I fight it.
"Don't, back up, he's going to have-"
Suddenly, his upper half falls backwards, his back arching off the ground, a deathly scream coming from his lips. His limbs convulsed, his head twisting from side to side. His eyes rolled back into his head, his body still trembling profusely.
"What's happening?" I mumble behind a hand.
"He's having a schizophrenic attack."

Josh's POV
Blinking my eyes, the darkness slowly fading, my eyes reopen, though an immense burning surrounds them. My eyes adjust to the light, before I see familiar crystal blue and mocha brown orbs peering into mine.
