Josh's POV

"You deserve everything I am about to do to you." Callum mutters, walking towards me, anger painted on his face.

"You aren't going to touch him." Simon stands, placing his hand on my chest, pushing me backwards.

"You don't have a gun, Minter." He hisses, raising his gun as he approaches us, pressing the barrel of the pistol to Simon's forehead, causing me to scream in fear.

"Not so strong, now are you?" Callum chuckles lowly, clicking the bullet into the chamber.

I feel time freeze. This isn't happening. I screw my eyes shut, before taking a breath.

"Not him!" I scream, shoving Simon to the floor as he shoots the gun twice, the ringing afterwards deafening.

My mouth freezes in pain, my now numb torso dropping in front of me. I look down, tears welling in my eyes as I observe my torso. Two perfect indents were formed, blood staining my jumpsuit at rapid speeds.

My eyes meet Callum's, who looked at my torso, his mouth soon turning up into a smile.

"Lights out Zerker." Are the last words I hear, before my body falls into an eerie, breathless darkness.

Simon's POV

I stay crouched over as the ringing subsides.

"Lights out Zerker." Is all I hear, before Josh's body comes crashing down next to me.

I look over with tear-filled eyes, observing the pale, bloody, body that was Josh's, next to me.

"N-No!" I scream, turning around and pulling him into my arms.

"Put him down, or I'll put a bullet through his head, then yours." He clicks another bullet into the chamber.

With a heavy sob, I let his near-lifeless body slide out of my arms, resuming the pile of his own blood on the floor.

"Good boy, Simon. Now, step aside, I need to pick him up. If you try to scream or escape, I will kill you." He assures me, so I swallow heavily, standing with shaky legs as I follow the killer and my baby.

We exit the cafeteria, passing a distraught Tobi. He was stood at the entrance, his eyes glued to the room of unconscious patients.

"Sorry Tobi." Callum laughs, before shoving his shoulder roughly and exiting the cafeteria.

I look into his eyes, his eyes glassy as he watches us leave. I blink, looking back to the back of Callum's head. Blood was dripping onto the ground as we walked, my shoes smudging them.

We exit the building, the snow blowing onto my body immediately, sending me into a tremble. We walk to his car, Callum carelessly unlocking the door and throwing his body in.

"Go in, and you can do your best to keep him alive." He murmurs, before climbing into his seat.

I waste no time to climb in, readjusting his crooked body, leaning his head against the door, draping his legs over mine, and straightening out his torso.

I quickly rip the sleeve off my arm, then do the same with the other arm. I tie them together through blurry eyes, before tying the sleeves around his torso, the knot pressing into the gun wounds. I tie it very tight, the blood already seeping into the knot.

Callum begins to drive out of the lot, racing down the streets of Chislehurst. I watch as the scenery goes by, my eyes absorbing the outside world. I find Josh's stiff, icy hands, and I intertwine mine with his blindly, tucking it between his hip and the seat.
