Cathy's POV

**at the office

" so how was the meeting?" tanong ni france sakin habang naglalakada papasok ng bahay ko na akala mo model ng Victoria's Secret. Kahit kailan talaga ang babaeng to.

"fine." maikling sagot ko. Pero tila hindi sya kutento sa sagot.

"balita ko pogi daw si Mr. Cortez ah" sabi ni france na parang nang aasar. Napakagaling talaga nito kapag usapang gwapo. 

"he has the looks, he's a gentleman and a very serious man" matapat kong isinagot sa tanong niya. 

"france tell me, did i already met him before?" nacucurious kong tanong. Mula kasi nung magkita kami ay pakiramdam ko nagkita na kami. Since lagi ko namang kasama noon si France baka may alam siya.

"W-who? M-mr. Cortez ?" nauutal niya tanong. Aba anong meron sa babaeng to? 

"yes i have this strange feeling  that i had met him before" napakagaan ng pakiramdam ko sa ginoo na para bang may koneksyon kami noon.

" i-i think so. Maybe you two already met in a ball or something." nauutal niya pa ring tugon habang nangunguha ng mansanas sa counter. Ano bang meron at nagkakandautal utal ang babaeng to?

"hmm maybe" sabi ko na lang. I diverted my eyes to the project proposal na pinasa sakin kahapon para ma examine ko na rin.

" hey Cath, did you already had lunch?" biglang tanong ni Fance. Speaking of lunch, hindi pa pala ako naglalunch at magtutwelve na rin. Pero marami pa akong paper works.

"nope, i still have papers to sign why?" sagot ko sa kanya. Saka itinuro ang mga nakatambak na transaction papers sa harap ko. Napangiwi na lang siya. 

"let's go out and eat. Hindi maganda na nagpapalipas ng gutom you know?" marahan niya pa ring sabi. Kailangan ko na rin palang kumain. Hindi pwedeng magkasakit ako, walang mag -aalaga sa kambal.

"okay. By the way, France i think someone gave you a bouquet. The guard brought it up here earlier" sabi ko sa kanya habang  at itinuro ang bouquet na nasa upuan malapit sa pinto. Inayos ko na rin ang mga papel na nasa harapan ko para maituloy ko din mamaya.

 " uhh cath it's not for me" rinig kong sabi niya. Para kanino naman ang bulaklak na iyon? Halarang mahal iyon kaya mayaman ang nagbigay niyan. Wala namang nagbibigay sa akin at imposible ding sa sekretarya ko yan.

"not yours? then whose?" tanong ko. Aba kanino naman yang bouquet na yan alangan naman akin yan kahit pa kanina ko pa gustong kunin yan dahil purple roses yun may respeto pa rin ako para sa nagbigay.

" yours." she said. Mine? who would give me such lovely flowers? 

"yhep. You have your name on it. " pagkatapos sabihin ni france yun ay naglakad na agad ako papalapit sa kanya. Binasa ko ang nakasulat sa papel na nakasukbit sa mga bulaklak.

" to my beloved wife, Catherine. That's what it said." Malakas na bigkas ni France. Wife? hindi ko alam na kasal na ako? Baka maling Catherine?

"wife?" pagtataka ko. As far as i remember walang nasabi sakin sila mama na may asawa ako. Tsaka kung meron ma, sino?

"maybe it's just a prank" sabi ni france . I was about to agree to her ng may biglang nagflash na picture sa utak ko. Another card with the same message and the same penmanship. 

"hey are you okay?" nagaalalang tanong ni france. That penmanship is very familiar. I feel like a part of my past is just revealed.

"i'm fine" sabi ko habang hawak hawak ang ulo ko. What the heck was that? Memories? They should be. 

"Let's go " Sabi ko at lumabas na kami ni france.

Marcus' POV

"So how did the meeting went?" tanong ni ate lourie, my older sister. Since we were kids, sa kanya lang ako nagtiwala.

"it was fine" sagot ko sa kanya. It's far from fine, actually.

"that's all? com'on tell me what happened. What does she look like now?" tanong ni ate . Well you see she is close to Cathy before they were like bestfriends together with France. 

"she's still the same. Sweet, vulgar, addictive, gorgeous, caring and everything we knew about her, except that she can't remember us" sabi ko sa kanya ng may halong disappointment. I'm disappointed cause I can't take her home.

"well your the same too. Still madly in love with her" sabi ni ate while a grin is forming in her face. She loves teasing me. 

"what can i do? she not that easy to forget" sabi ko and i don't have any plans on forgetting her, she's my beloved wife and the mother of my children. 

"when are you going to tell her about the two of you?" tanong ni ate. I know she is being impatient. No, the whole organization is being impatient about this. They want to meet her.

" soon but not now. I still need to gain her trust and love." sabi ko sa kanya. I need a plan.  

"but what about your twins?" tanong niya. Yeah, the twins. Napangiti ako sa pag alala sa kambal.

" i have been working on my plan and i don't need to problem the twins, they love me already" sabi ko habang ngiting-ngiti. Matagal ko ng nakaka-usap ang mga anak ko yun nga lang di ko alam na anak ko pala sila but now i know

"good luck with that bro. But what about the mafia? Until there's mafia you won't be safe now that Familia Cortez is in the top you have many enemies." sabi ni ate lourie habang umuupo sa couch. Familia Cortez that is our mafia. My father passed it down to me as his heir and i can't do anything about it. Besides the mafia became my life long ago when my wife and children appeared.

"that's why I'm making my move silently sister." sabi ko sa kanya saka siya nginitian. I have to proceed with the plan quietly.

"goodbye bro. Call me when you need my help okay?" sabi ni ate . Ate  lourie is part of the mafia too by the way. She's Lourievielle Cortez ,the Famila's Princess also known as Boa. 

i took out my phone and called Peterson, my bishop black to be specific

"Peterson , I need updates"

" well she's with her cousin king and they're about to enter a restaurant"

"okay, make sure your Queen is not in danger . Contact mo if anything suspicious is happening "

"yes king"

"by the way, did you send her the roses?"

" yes king"

"okay" the i ended the call
