I smile as I pour myself a glass of sparkling white wine. I turn up the music on my phone. I sang along to A white Christmas. I look up to see Chantal entering the study. Her face has slightly healed, since the last incident.

She frowns. "You seem to be in a happy mood" She stated as she narrows her eyes at me.

"Darling, today is celebration for all of us" my body was buzzing with excitement as I douse the drink down.

She scoff. "And why is that?" She sat on the chair across from the desk.

I place the glass down. "Well your lover has been bailed out" I walk over to the glass cabinet and grab a flute out for Chantal.

"What do you mean bailed out? Has the case been thrown out?" She spat.

I roll my eyes as I close the cabinet and turn around towards her. "Oh cheer up, you got what you wanted" I walk back toward the desk and place the flute down.

"Now tell what would like the money in?" I ask as I pour her a drink. I watch as the crystal bubbles form as I pour a drink for her and a second one for me.

"Will he be able to get into a good college, with it on his records?" She spat towards me.

I chuckle as I place the wine down. "Darling, even you know the answer to that"

She narrows her eyes at me. "Remove it" she spat.

I shook my head. Love is weak and stupid. I hand her the flute as I lifted mines toward her. "Cheers" I toast as I indulge in the alcohol. I click my tongue as she threw the alcohol at the wall.

"Remove it now!" She shout as she lean over the desk and glare at me.

I lean back in my chair. "I'm sorry sweetie, my hands are tied" I pull open the bottom drawer and remove the money.

"Now how would you like it in cash or check?" I grab my check book out as well. I will miss her. She has done a marvelous job, even though she sucks at some things. This little girl has guts and no guilty conscience. I click the pen as I look up at her. She held onto the desk tightly. I watch as her knuckle turn white from the force of her grip.

"Where. Is. he?" She said slowly. I watch as she grind her teeth.

I place the pen down. "Don't worry sweetie, He's safe" I smile as I look up at her.

She frowns as she held out her palm. "In twenties Anna"

I grin as I remove the elastic from the stack of bills. I double-check to make sure that is all of it. "Now I want to make sure we never cross paths again" I place the stack of money in an envelope.

She rolls her eyes. "Don't worry, I'll be far away from here" she mutters as she places the envelope in her purse.

I pour more into my glass. "You will stay 100 feet away from my son, also might I remind you are under contract. You cannot discuss any of this with anyone, or I will have a bounty on your head" I stated as I drink some more.

She scoffs. "I don't want your son" She scoff.

I smiles as I stood up. "It was a horrible pleasure doing business with you" I held out my hand for her to shake.

She snorts as she shook my hand. "Same Anna"

I lean back and watch as she exits the study. This has been the best day ever. I smile as my phone rang. I look at the caller I.D and smile as I saw it was my husband.

"Afternoon dear" I chirp as I greeted him.

"Anna, we need to talk" He said slowly.

My body stiffen at the seriousness in his voice. What is the meaning of this call? I don't like it one bit. I douse the drink back to help calm my nerves. I calm my racing heart as seconds ticks by.

"I want a divorce" He said slowly.

My eyes widen as he said those three words. I heard the dent of the flute as it fell on the carpet. My blood boiled as I clench my teeth. "And why is that?" I ask him slowly.

He chuckles. "Have you think I've been living under a rock? I've been seeing what you've been doing for the past months, You have been manipulating Eric-

I roll my eyes as he talks on and on. I hiss as he said that slut Chelsea name. "She was never good for our son" I spat.

"here we go again" he mutters. My eyes widen as I pull the phone away from my ear and stare at it. "Excuse me" I shriek.

"Now, now dear, calm down" He quickly said.

"You can have the house, but I will not let you manipulate our son anymore" he said angrily.

I scoff. "He broke up with the girl on his own"

"Mhmm" he said sarcastically.

"What is this I hear of Eric taking over the company in Chicago?" He question me.

I roll my eyes. "He wanted to do it, Matthew you have been training him since he was a child to take over the company"

"Yes! When I retire, I haven't gotten all the paperwork's in, My attorney already knows of-

I smile as I lean back in my chair. "Don't worry sweetie, I took care of all of that, it has been approved and finalized"

He sighs. "Anna why are you doing this?"

"I want what's best for our son, I want him to finish school, earn his degree and live his own life. You can't keep controlling his life" He shouted.

"I am his mother, This is my son, I will do what I feel is best for him!" I saw red as I picture Matthew dead. He is not going to be interfering with my plans.

"Taking him away from his friends and family is not what's best for him, I want him to take a break and have fun, he's just a-

"No Matthew! He's an adult now and he need to learn that life isn't fair, it's not easy. It's all about the work you put in each day to live on this earth. You have to work hard to get things in life" I shriek.

"I know that, but I still want him to finish s-

"he'll finish earning his degree in Chicago" I smile as I heard nothing through the other end of the line.

I won.

"he's not taking over the company without my approval and my signature" I frown as I heard that. In a matter of seconds. I hear the sound of the dial tone as the call has been ended.

I chuckle as I dial the next number on my phone. "Without your approval Hah!" I chuckle as I waited for someone to answer.

"Bumble Bee! It's so great to hear from you!" I smile as I hear his voice.

"Hey Dad I need your help" I smile as I grab the bottle of champagne.

"What's wrong?" he quickly asks.

"Tell Parkerson to fax me the copy of the Donnovan and Gardner Binding contract" I smile as I knew that contract would have the answers to solve all of my problems for now and in the future.
