Hello, everyone. My name is Adrian. I know it may come as a shocker, but I am still trying to figure out what caused this storm. It was so unexpected, and everything that followed happened so quickly, that I'm not sure that I truly grasp what is going on.

Interviewer: Well Adrian, considering the circumstances, we appreciate your willingness to be interviewed. Let's start with something light... can you tell us a little bit about yourself and your family?

Adrian: Sure. I was raised in a town a little ways from Fair Field, Iowa. Things weren't always good there. My parents struggled to make ends meet, so early on... I think when I was eight... I started to help my family make some extra money. We eventually moved to Fair Field and that was a huge and rather hard transition, but I guess it was rewarding as well.

Interviewer: Okay? Can you tell me a little bit more about how it was rewarding?

Adrian: Well, I was about to graduate. I had some good friends, for the most part. And ultimately, I met Hannah Davis because I went there. I don't think she ever noticed me before the storm, but I sure noticed her.

Interviewer: That is incredibly interesting. So are you saying that the two of you...?

Adrian: (Chuckled). Are together? Well, that's complicated too. You see I brought a lot of baggage with me when I moved to Fair Field... and it is currently pursuing us as we journey west.

Interviewer: Can you tell me a bit more about this baggage?

Adrian: It sure isn't something that you can check on a plane.

Interviewer: Chuckle.

Adrian: I was involved with a gang, believe it or not, when I was little. They didn't do anything too serious at the time because most of them were young. I was the youngest though and they would always call me Bacon, because when they worked with me they could swoon a purse off of any ladies arm... and therefore they would be "bringing home the bacon." When my family moved, I took a lot of their secrets with me. Eventually, it came to light that I had recorded all of their Black Market dealings. Though few and tiny compared to issues on the coast, they became incredibly defensive in the matter. They attacked my family at one point. And when the storm happened, they managed to escape and come after me.

Interviewer: Speaking of your family, why didn't you travel with them to safety?

Adrian: There's a theme in my life: it's complicated.

Interviewer: Do we need to pause for a minute?

Adrian: Uhm... I can finish.

Interviewer: Okay. Could you please tell me a little bit about the highlight of your travels thus far?

Adrian: I could tell you about Hannah, but I think I will tell you about her sister instead. Abisahi, or as everyone calls her, Abi, is really little two years old with a lot of spunk. She actually calls me Tarzan because we have so much fun together! That... and I have a gymnast background, so she thought I looked like a monkey.

Interviewer: Sadly, that is all we have time for. Do you have any other last comments?

Adrian: Don't focus on the past. Look to the future. Even if it is full of massive waves and dark clouds... there's always something good up ahead.
