Good morning! I can't believe that I have been living in a canoe trying to escape fields of rain, but here I am!
Interviewer: It is rather odd. Well, Nahum, could you please introduce yourself?
Nahum: Yup. I am a freshman in high school, or would be if school was still happening. I am the middle child, but because our younger sister, Abishai, is so much younger... I am the peace keeper rather than the one who stirs the pot.
Interviewer: Could you tell me a little bit about how this storm has been affecting your family?
Nahum: Sure. It has been making us all go crazy. Mother, who is normally a worrier, has been extremely stressed and sick. Father, has been trying to be the quiet and firm navigator through the storm. Ha... Mother has rarely even been given permission to read the map because he is dead set on his route of travel.
Interviewer: And your siblings?
Nahum: Abishai is only two, so she is a complete and utter handful. I love her, but she has been keeping Mother busy because she keeps attempting to jump out of their canoe. And Hannah, well she is competing with my parents for authority. She is trying to manage my parent's responsibilities and also maintain peace. That hasn't really been working the best for her but luckily, Adrian has begun to preoccupy her thoughts just enough to keep her from running us into the ground. Or maybe the water.
Interviewer: Haha. So I have noticed a lot of mixed emotions about Ophelia and Adrian while interviewing the rest of your family. How do you feel about them?
Nahum: (Blushing) I have definitely been enjoyed talking with Ophelia, my canoeing buddy thus far. Hannah has been picking on her, which is odd as they are good friends, but I have been trying to stand up for Ophelia whenever I can. Adrian and I keep trying to find "bro time" just to maintain sanity. I would say that they both have brought their struggles, but so have we.
Interviewer: So what is the biggest struggle and the highlight of your adventure thus far?
Nahum: (Smiling) That is for me to know... and for you to find out
