We walked in and they sat down as I stood. "You guys, here's the deal, I think we need to kiss this room goodbye." "No, no we can't." Rina stood up. "We have to Rina." "No Morgan you don't get it, I lost part of my hand for this, I have put my two years of my life in this, our stuff is here!" She started to get a tone. "Rina if you ever wish to get out of this place then we have to pick up and move." She sat down silent now. "We'll grab what we can carry, not a lot, just weapons and supplies we need. To use the bathroom we're going to bring that bucket over there. I've seen vents here and there around the maze. I also already tried opening the vents its a very deep hole that leads to nothing but a bottom. When we catch one we'll dump it down there." "Are you telling me that we have to carry around somebody's bucket of crap?" Rina asked horrified and disgusted. "Yes Rina." I told her. For food I already know that you guys hunt creatures and cook them. I think we'll be alright." "Morgan, why do we need to leave this place?" Gracin stood and asked. "We need to find who ever this is, he or she can help us. They already have, and we can help them. I have a plan to get out of here. First I need to ask you all something. I remember you guys telling me about someone who died trying to go back?" Rina stood "yes we barely knew him, he came shortly after Gracin did. He wanted to make a difference too but we didn't let him. He decided to sneak out any way, he never did return after then." "Alright well I'll be the first to return then." "Morgan did you not here me? He died." "Yeah aso, he was just a young boy you told me about thirteen, he probably could barely help himself at all. I'm strong, and all of us together are. I want to tell you something though, if I go back there I'm going alone. "No! You can't!" Brus hollered out. They all hollered out something similar to that. "If I die I don't want all of you to die too." Gracin got up to me. "Morgan you can't I'll go." "No I will." I heard Draigon saying getting up. Shortly after Brus said the same. Then Rina got up too. "No I will." They all were up and felt like I wanted to cry right there. "You guys want to know why I won't let you go? If one of you go and I don't, I won't ever stop wondering, I would rather go and die knowing, then sit in here for the rest of my life not knowing. It kills me, I don't know if it does you guys but it kills me. I have to go alone, that's the one thing that out of all I've told you, I really want you to listen to." Rina walked up to me, I wanted to cry but she had beat me to it. Tears started to form in her eyes and she hugged me. "Hey now, don't get all worked up just yet. We're just getting started on this adventure." She smiled and I smiled at the rest of them. "Come on you guys! We got to get going now." Gracin went to the back room and put all the files of the creatures in a back pack. Then he grabbed some grilled muscaliets and boiled ci bug eggs. I got an arrangement of knives and put my phone and book in the bag. The boys just threw in a hair brush and grabbed the bucket and their weapons. Rina grabbed clothes for every one. We all got our weapons and there were two bags. The boys each carried one and we all carried our weapons. We also made sure to have a few matches. I also carried the pouch of magic with me in my pocket. We all were ready to go. We all said one last goodbye to the place, and we were off. We were off into the long dark maze. Gracin pulled out the map and we started in the direction to were we haven't explored yet. We walked for a while, just long boring turns here and there. Sometimes there would even be hall that would go on forever. It seemed like forever. At that point we hoped that there was actually a creature some were to kill. We did kill a few creatures here and there. There was nothing really that I hadn't seen before. Gracin showed me the sixty three most common creatures that came around. After we killed a few we got out some of the food from the bags and sat down for an eating break, but we made sure to have Gracin on guard of anyone while we ate. After we ate, he did. He was a very caring person. Well I know that he cared for us. By now any of us would probably sacrifice anything for anyone in this group. As we got farther away from our original place, and more towards the undiscovered area, there seemed to be a lot less creatures. We finished eating and started to travel some more. There were a few times were we turned our backs so one could use the bathroom. We all took turns carrying the bucket. It was pretty boring and when I walked over to Gracin to see where we were, we weren't even close to being there. I started to walk with Gracin and talk with him. "So Gracin," "yeah?" He asked me. "What was yours and Rina's past?" He just looked at me then down. "We didn't have a past." "Don't lie to me." He just kept quiet. "I see the way she looks at you. Don't tell me there was nothing between you two. "Do you think she is still jealous of me?" "Maybe." Was all he said. "Gracin tell me, I seriously want you to tell me." "Nothing Morgan, she just has a crush on me and is jealous of you I guess." He walked ahead of me now. I didn't like the fact that he was lying to me. I wasn't stupid, and I knew he was lying to me. I didn't see what would be a big deal, and why he couldn't tell me. If they dated, then so what? I'm not going to care. He's done with her now. Although it's like something was still there. It's almost like there was something before about them. Yet..it seemed that that feeling that they spread, they just kind of let go over time. They don't really seem to show any emotion towards each other any more at all. Before I could see the way the looked at each other. It was almost the way I looked at Gracin. Now Gracin didn't seem to do that with Rina any more. He did it with me a lot though. We just kept walking and walking. I kept pondering on all the possibilities of my wonders too. I thought about what any of it could mean, or how any of it was possible. The rest of the night my brain just kept turning with thoughts until we decided to stop to rest. We stopped and we ate the rest of what was left. Rina agreed to go hunting the next day. That night I finally let my brain stop working. I have it a rest from turning all day long. We rested and I of course didn't have that great of a sleep, but it was better than the first night I spent there. We were able to lay on some clothes as pillows and there were a couple of blankets, but only two.Draigon and Brus pretty much took up like a whole blanket so Rina, Gracin, and I shared. It was still real crowded though so we had to sleep close. I was in the middle of Rina and Gracin. I was sleeping facing up at first, and Gracin and Rina were facing inwards towards me. I started to get sleepy, and rolled over on my side. I faced Rina at first but she kept slightly snoring to were she blew in my face repeatedly. I rolled over on my other side then, and Gracin didn't do that. I slept facing him. I started to doze off until I felt something. I felt a hand. I felt a hand slowly creeping up to my waist. I slightly opened my eyes to see a slight smile on his face. I closed them again and let him hold me in comfort. I really hoped that he was the one. I really hoped that he would be the one, but after all we were in a deadly maze, so my life wouldn't turn out to be a fairy tale. The next morning Driagon work up snapping at us in our faces. "Wake up love birds! And you too big bad tuff chick!" He mocked. She rolled over from being asleep. "Oh you know I am." She just said pointing at him and rolling back over. Brus came and picked her up. He made her stand. Gracin and I got up. I kind of shyly smiled at him. After we all got a good chance to wake up, sit down and talk, and put away the clothes and blankets, Rina was About to head back towards the room to get us some food. Rina came and hugged her brothers a good tight one. I thought that she had been treating her brothers better now, and I was proud of her. She came and hugged me, I think she gave the tightest one to me. "Love you Rina, be safe." She pulled back and smiled. "I will." She came to Gracin and gave him a short but good hug. "Bye guys." "Bye!" I waved to her and she waved back. "Bye doll," she said. "Alright, I have a pencil, and I'm going to mark the walls so she'll know her way back." Gracin told us. At every turn he marked the wall with a good, thick, pencil line. We kept just walking until, we heard something. I saw it running down the hall. It was another rat beast. It was scrabbling down the hall pretty fast. I held my sword up and charged at it. I Aimed for the heart but I missed, on the other side of his chest. He grabbed me and swung me off of him. I fell on the floor and burned my arm from sliding, but I got back up again. Gracin jumped up and grabbed a hold of his fur. He tried to bite his neck, but one bite didn't do the trick. He didn't let his teeth sink in long enough for it to poison him either. The rat swung him off too. The rat was angry now. It came running after me just like the one before. It ran not after the boys, at me. I charged it as fast as it could me. Next thing you know, we were both running full speed to slaughter each other. I stabbed him in the leg and he fell on top of me. He collapsed on top of me and he couldn't get up, but he wasn't dead. Gracin ran up, and pounced on top of the rat. He bit it and this time he was able to let the poison sink in. The rat slowly started to turn purple. Gracin was about to leap to lift up the rat but Draigon and Brus picked him up away from the rat. "Morgan is under there!" "It's going to explode!" "So will Morgan!" It did explode then. They came over to the rat, from what was left from it. Brus started to move the pieces of rat out of the way. I got up and shook all the purple oozy guts off of me that I could. "Morgan!" He ran to hug me but decided not to. He started to laugh that I was covered in guts. "Alright, let's continue." They were relived to know I was okay. I pointed down the hall and tried to pull as much ooze off me as I could. We started walking again and Gracin continued marking the walls. We go further and further down the halls we came across a couple other creatures. Some of them though Gracin just bit, and some Brus and Draigon just bashed them with their weapons. The rest were pretty easy. We started to get tired and we rested. Shortly after Rina arrived and we hugged her talking to her about the rat incident. She said she was proud of me. She brought back five creatures two different species. We cooked, ate, and rested. When it was late, I got up to the bucket to use the bathroom. I went around the corner. I saw something laying in the floor. It was a note. "I see you marked the walls, and you've done the right thing, but before you know it, it will be too late to be free, you'll see what I mean, if you pay attention to the lines on the wall closely." After I used the bathroom I took the note to the group and laid back down. I took one look back at the line on the wall. I got up and examined the like on the wall. It was a couple bricks up and right to my cheek. I looked at it and nothing seemed peculiar. So I laid back down.✔️
