It came to me limping horribly, and flesh peeled off its face, rotting teeth, almost none, and there was a hole in its shirt that revealed its rib cage, and beating, damaged heart. My instant reaction before was to sit in shock, I could barely move a muscle for a moment, but I was so scared then and it started to run at me. With the sword still raised I screamed and let it come down to hit it, it nearly split it in two. It fell to the ground and so did I. I dropped the sword and blankly fell to my knees in terror. Did I just kill someone? Well it wasn't a someone, it was a something, but it looked so much like a someone. I was so confused and worried. all I know is that I killed it, a girl like me that barely knows how to handle a knife took a giant sword, and killed this, thing. First it was like people with claws and other features I couldn't make out, and people like fish, now people like, monsters. They were all like monsters, the devil's creations. I was scared to see what else would await me. I picked back up my phone, book, and sword, and slowly kept walking down the hall. Still there remained no twists and turns and I walked and walked forever, until my legs gave up and I just fell to the ground. I turned on my phone and pressed photos. I saw pictures of Leah and I, having fun. I looked at a video too, I don't do Vlogs a lot, but sometimes I do. I watched my most resent vlog and all I saw was...complaining. I complained, and complained. I complained about how I hated my life and I hated the fact that I thought my life was a mess, and how...nothing could get worse. I was wrong on that, I put down my phone and started to cry,. Memories flashed back of me disrespecting, telling Bridget that she's always in the way, and ignoring Molly when she needed my advice the most, and not ever getting time to sit down with Ronny and ask how his day was, and to never try and know if my brother felt the same pain as me. I remember taking my anger out on people I shouldn't have, arguments with Leah, not giving Jay, a good explanation for a maybe another chance at things. All my regrets sunk in to my head at that moment, and all my tears released. They were gushing out like a water fall too. Just crying was all I thought to do. I was so tired of walking, so tired of crying, I was tired and mentally in so much pain. I laid down on my side and on the cold brick floor. Eventually my cries turned to faint whimpers, and I fell asleep. I woke up with a jump forgetting for a moment of every thing that happened last night, really hoping it was just a horrible dream, but it was real. I wiped out the dry tears from my eyes, and gathered my stuff. Even if it was only three things it was still kind of hard to carry with the sword, and my phone would keep slipping out of my pocket. I picked them all up and started to walk forward. I walked for a little bit and I found a brown velvet texture purse with a braided strap on the floor. I picked it up and looked around. It's almost like, someone has watched me this whole time, and have been..helping me..placing things along the way. I put my phone and book in it then slung it over my shoulder. I held my sword and kept walking. Then I realized, there was finally a turn up ahead. I ran to it but I tripped over one of the nauches on the floor from the brick. I fell but I fell at the turn. I looked to my side and there was a light to start the hall, but that wasn't it. There was someone, or for all I knew something, standing there. I quickly got up and grabbed my sword tight.
It was a girl. She had dark brown hair, almost black and pale skin. She was pretty but she looked like a person that would punch you for saying that. She had all kinds of protective leather and armor clothing on her. She held brass knuckles in her hands, a giant knife in one pocket of her belt, other weapons too in an ugly ruck sack on her back. I was slightly shaky holding the sword up, and my clothing was pretty tore. A sleeve was tore off to were It revealed my shoulder, and a rip to show some of my stomach, and my pants had cuts all in them. My hair was a tangled mop. Hers looked like silk, but she didn't look all that friendly, she gave a slight laugh at me. She walked to me and just pushed my sword down. "You don't.." I gulped. "You're not a, creature are you?" She laughed again. She shook her head and motioned her finger for me to follow her. She turned around and started to walk and I slowly followed. I was about to go to the next turn but she snapped at me and pointed at the wall. "What?" I asked. It was a blank brick wall. She touched it but...her hand stuck through, she passed through the wall with ease, and I carefully looked at it first. I felt around to see were it started and ended, but she had grabbed my arm through and pulled me through, causing me to fall in. She wasn't the only one in there. There were two more guys about my age, maybe older. I laid on the ground looking at them, once they saw me, they came to me like I was a relative visiting for thanksgiving. "Hey!" They all were saying walking to me in a friendly manner. Both guys picked me up by either arm, but I made sure to still hold my sword tight. "Hey what's your name pretty face?" One with a scar on his cheek asked. "Nice to meet ya, when did you get here?" The other asked. The girl that got me from the halls pushed past the two buff gentlemen with red hair to see me face to face, as she spoke for the first time. "Have you seen the shape shifters?" Her voice wasn't deep but wasn't high pitched either, it had a rough-ness it though. I gulped assuming to answer her question first because she seemed scarier. "No.." I said with a gulp after. "You're a lucky girl, I could've been one out there ya know, to lead you into my layer and suck your blood." I held the sword tighter because it was slipping out of my sweaty palms. "I hate scared guests," she said knocking the sword to the ground which made me sort of jump. She lifted up the bottom flap of my shirt and sort of smacked my stomach I jumped again. "Slim but not fit, we'll fix that." She said walking away to one corner of the room. She picked up a weight with two arms and slowly, carefully walked to me with it, she layed it in my arms and I fell to the floor, not being able to even barely lift it with my puny arms. She leaned over to the ground were I was. "A hundred pounds right there babe." She patted my back kind of hard and I slowly got up. "Come on , don't go to hard on her" one of the guys said. She kept walking, And they watched her walk away. "Hey I'm bruscualr." One of them said holding out his hand, I picked up my hand ready to shake, and then the other put his hand in front of the others. "Well I'm draigon, not dragon though, draigon." I shook his hand and started to smile when the other rolled his eyes. "You can call me Brus," he gave me a slight wink and walked away to sharpen a knife, the other stood there. "Are you gonna speak then?" "Yeah," I said still pretty quiet. "Come on," he got a little quieter and a little closer to my ear. "Don't let Rina scare you, she was that way to us." Brus came over to us. "Only, we had no names, she named us." "What is your name?" Draigon asked. "Morgan" I answered. "There ya go, that was louder that time." He gave me a little pat on the back and gave a smile. "Honestly, I told him, how do I get home? because I have no clue what's going on right now." "It's all good, we'll explain everything in a little bit." "So it's just the three of you?" I asked. "No it's not actually, there is someone else but, he's a little busy." "He's the brains of this group so he's almost always busy." Draigon said after Brus. "What's his name?" I asked. "Gracin, our names are pretty creative right?" He said in sarcasm. "Yeah that's cuz Rina came up with them, including hers, ow!" Rina walked by and jabbed him in the stomach with her elbow. "What's your name?" She asked me. "Morgan," I answered quietly, feeling more comfortable and adjusted to the boys rather then still a little frightened of her. "What type are you?" She asked me "type?" I asked back. "You can tell she hasn't been here long." She told Brus. "Look around at us, Bruscular and Driagon are the bronze of the maze." I could see them behind her flexing and without even looking back she rolled her eyes already knowing. I smiled "Gracin, which you'll see him soon, he's the brains, he searches through the DNA of these creatures with the computers in the back and because of him we find out more and more about the maze." I looked back were she pointed to spot a room in the corner with a brown locked shut door. "Then there's me, I'm the one that keeps it together, the respected one, and probably the creative one coming up with their names and creating the ideas and plots for our next plans. your name seems rather plain, not exotic. You'll do though, I can't control everything, but almost everything, only thing I really can't control is what goes on, on the outside of here. This is where we live, where we stay, we've made our own home here. Maybe you can be a brains you look like it'd suit you." "Or maybe another creative one to help you out." "Right.." she said not too fond of the idea. Her and I paused for a moment of silence and she just looked at me, I tried not to look straight into her eyes like she was mine. "Do you want to look around?" She said just a bit more friendly. "Sure," I said. She stepped out of my way and gestured her arm for me to go ahead. I started to look around down and mostly up into the ceiling. It was one huge room, besides the room In the corner, it was about as big as three living rooms put together, or a smaller sized ball room without anything fancy. To light up the place was just some torches on the walls in little hooks. The wall paper was cream colored and some was sort of tearing off. There were 7 beds, I guess in case any other people were to come she was prepared, there were plenty of warm blankets and pillows. There were also a couple of couches. "How did you guys make this secret room?" I asked Rina. "You'd be surprised what treasures you find and can create killing these creatures, and what magic they hold." I looked down at her now. "Can you explain to me what's going on?" "Only if your ready to hear it doll." She said leaning against the wall. I just nodded my head, ready to hear what my fait was down here.
