Adaieh's P.O.V.
"Adaieh, baby, wake up. I'm about to leave and you need to get ready for school."
I wake up to the sound of my mother's voice. I can't believe it's Friday already. It feels like yesterday was Monday. There's so much I have to do.
"Okay." I got up and stretched. "I'm gonna walk you out."
"Okay."
My momma was all dressed up. She was wearing a pants suit and her hair was put up in a pony tail.
"Why are you so dressed up for a flight to ... wherever you're going? Where are you going anyway?" It's not that I didn't mind, it's just, I wanna know! Is it that much of a crime?
"Well, it is a business trip. I have to look professional." She grabbed her suitcases.
"You didn't answer my question."
"Yes I did." She smiled.
"I asked two and you only answer one of them. Momma where are you going?"
"Nowhere of your concern."
"I promise I won't get mad."
"Shouldn't you be getting ready for school?"
Dang it! I forgot it was Friday.
"Can you stop stalling and tell me already?"
Beep Beep
"That's my ride sweetie, momma's gotta go." She kissed my forehead and gave me a small hug with the suitcase still in her hands. "I put $150 under my mattress for emergencies only. Knowing you it's gonna be gone by tomorrow."
"Hey! I'm not Sarah!"
"Good point."
"Okay, okay go already! I have to get ready for school." I mocked her. The way she was looking at me, I think I shouldn't have. See, now I'm gonna regret this. Me and my big mouth!
"You're right, go get ready for school." She opened the door. "I'll be sending you a post card from New York, have fun!!!" She closed the door just as my mouth open.
How dare she?! I can't believe she's going to New York.
You know what? It doesn't even matter. Why would I want to be somewhere where it's packed. I don't want to be getting pushed around anyway. I just know that if someone pushed me I'll hit them.

I walked in my 3rd hour class, already seeing Bryan sitting down on his phone. I can't believe he's still sitting next to me. Well now he has to since it's like his assigned seat but he still have a chance to tell Mr. Anderson that he wants to change his seat but I doubt th-"Oh!"
"Oh my gosh, are you okay?" Bryan shot up out of his seat to grab my hips.
How did I not see that I was walking towards the desk!? Gosh, that hurted like a bitch.
"Yeah I'm fine." By this time everyone was looking at me. Most of them trying to cover their mouths. Oh how I wish I was in detention right now.
"Luckily I was here right?" He chuckled.
"Yeah!" Too loud. "Yeah." Better.
"Can you do me a favor?"
"Sure?"
"Can you uh ... tie your shoes? I don't want you falling for anybody else."
Was that suppose to be a pick up line? Lame! But I chuckled anyway. He still has the looks. I don't want to mess anything up ... but I do want to tease him about it. Hopefully it goes my way.
