Elizabeth's P.O.V. (not edited)

"Mrs. M you need to breathe!"

"Lets just call for an ambulance or something, Andre! Fanning her isn't helping as you can see!"

I got home not too long ago from a flight. I meet a handsome man who actually seems interested in me on said flight. I stop by an ice cream shop to get my only daughter a cake because it's her birthday. Not just any birthday but her eighteenth birthday. I call for my daughter to come downstairs only to be greeted by her two best friends. Now those two best friends of my daughter who eighteenth birthday is today is saying that she's missing. Okay.

I laughed.

Sarah and Andre are staring at me like I'm crazy but I don't care. Mainly because I figured it out. They actually thought they could trick me! And I can't believe I almost fell for it.

"Mrs. Matthew are you okay?" Sarah's looking at me like I grown two heads or something. That made me laugh harder.

"Oh. I'm sorry kids but you had me for a second. I know what's going on." I smiled and got up from the chair that Andre put me in when he told me the 'news'.

"You know?" They ask simultaneously. They need to stop that.

"Of course I know." I grabbed a glass cup from the cabinet and began to pour me some water into it. "Adaieh's obviously still upset about me leaving and told you guys to pretend that she's gone missing to get back at me. She's upstairs right now in her room watching from a hidden camera in here. Well I might say you two are good actors. You should look into it." I started drinking the water after I put some ice in it. They really had me fooled.

"Mrs. M, I'm sorry to break it to you but Adaieh's seriously is missing right now and we can't find her." Andre chose his words carefully.

"Stop this nonsense. Adaieh you come down these stairs right now! I'm done playing your games!" I walked to the end of the stairs with the cup still in my hand. "Adaieh Matthew-"

"Elizabeth!" This time Sarah spoked and she held much authority in my name that I got chills. Her eyes were starting to water while my heart started to beat like crazy again. "She isn't here."

CRASH!!!

"No." The only word I could choke out when the cup slipped out of my hand. I slowly brought my hand to my mouth as I slid down to the first step.

"Adaieh."

My voice came out as a whisper because of my mouth trembling.

"No. Not my baby." I was crying now in my hands so they wouldn't see me. "What happened! Ms. Martenez was suppose to be watching her! How could she have let this happen?"

A wave of anger came over me as I rushed over to the phone. While I was gone Adaieh was put in Ms. Martenez's care. If she thinks I won't say nothing about my daughter missing then she has another thing coming.

"No! It wasn't her fault. Ms. Martenez has nothing to do with it." Sarah snatched the phone away from me and I had to restrain myself from yelling at her for doing that because is about Adaieh, not on respecting adults.

"Sarah. Now I want you to tell what happened to my baby girl and don't you dare leave a detail out. If it's not Ms. Martenez's fault then who is it?" My voice was low and stern.

"It's mine." Andre spoke up.

"No, it's mine." Sarah proclaimed.

"Look, I don't care who fault it is anymore. Tell me what happened." I finally stopped crying but my eyes were still watering from the thoughts that was running in my head as I thought what could be happening to Adaieh this very moment.
